Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.

Wisdom provides safety, just as money provides safety. But here’s the advantage of wisdom. It guards those who have it.

For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

狂風驟起、棲身巖穴、行於曠野、飲泉解渴、烈日炎熇、困憊不勝、得磐巖以憩息、君之保民亦若是、

上帝兮、矜憫我躬、惟爾是賴、願爾覆翼、若鳥伏雛、以俟災患之潛消兮。

降禍之日、貨財亦復何裨、臨死之時、仁義足以自救。

如是必得護衛、

耶和華若鞏固之臺、善人登之、蒙其護衛。富人視財若鞏固之邑、高峻之垣。

我王其明哲哉、展其大力、以拯庶民、以安國祚、寅畏耶和華、為邦之寶、

今我勸爾、當歸乎主、復得其歡心、則可納福。恪守其矩矱、服膺其箴規。糞除爾居、歸全能之主、則可再徼福祉。如爾視礦金無異塵埃、視阿弗之金、若澗溪沙石、則全能之主、乃爾金銀之礦。

我今指天地以立證、我以生命死亡、純嘏咒詛、置於爾前、爾簡生命、俾得爾生、爰及子孫。汝當愛爾上帝耶和華、聽從其言、恆供役事、耶和華賜爾得生命、享遐齡。昔耶和華誓爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、以斯土賜爾、爾可安居焉。

如是遐齡可得享、年齒日以增。

貧乏則鄰里疏之、富厚則眾人亦愛之。

彼不諮諏我意、乃往埃及、藉法老之勢力、望埃及之庇蔭、

此非淺鮮、乃爾生命所關、因是爾可於約但西所據之地、而享遐齡。

錫嘏善士、護衛義人、

我知其命乃永生、故我所言者、遵父命而言也、

棘曰、如爾誠欲膏我、立我為王、當藉我蔭為蔽、不然、願火自棘出、燬利巴嫩之柏香木。
