因此，我必用荆棘堵塞她的道，筑墙挡住她，使她找不着路。她必追随所爱的，却追不上；她必寻找他们，却寻不见，便说：‘我要归回前夫，因我那时的光景比如今还好。’

他醒悟过来，就说：‘我父亲有多少的雇工，口粮有余，我倒在这里饿死吗？我要起来，到我父亲那里去，向他说：父亲！我得罪了天，又得罪了你；

这事以后，作那家主母的妇人，她儿子病了；病得甚重，以致身无气息。妇人对以利亚说：“神人哪，我与你何干？你竟到我这里来，使神想念我的罪，以致我的儿子死呢？”

所以，他将猛烈的怒气和争战的勇力倾倒在以色列的身上。在他四围如火着起，他还不知道，烧着他，他也不介意。

耶和华的怒气必不转消，直到他心中所拟定的成就了。末后的日子你们要全然明白。

他苦炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们恒守所信的道；又说：“我们进入神的国，必须经历许多艰难。”

这些事都已听见了，总意就是：敬畏神，谨守他的诫命，这是人所当尽的本分。

你们现在也是忧愁，但我要再见你们，你们的心就喜乐了；这喜乐也没有人能夺去。到那日，你们什么也就不问我了。我实实在在地告诉你们，你们若向父求什么，他必因我的名赐给你们。

你已将我的哀哭变为跳舞，将我的麻衣脱去，给我披上喜乐，好叫我的灵歌颂你，并不住声。耶和华我的神啊，我要称谢你，直到永远！

“我厌烦我的性命，必由着自己述说我的哀情；因心里苦恼，我要说话，对神说：不要定我有罪，要指示我，你为何与我争辩？

当那日，主万军之耶和华叫人哭泣哀号，头上光秃，身披麻布。谁知，人倒欢喜快乐，宰牛杀羊，吃肉喝酒，说：“我们吃喝吧！因为明天要死了。”万军之耶和华亲自默示我说：“这罪孽直到你们死，断不得赦免！这是主万军之耶和华说的。”

他们若在掳到之地想起罪来，回心转意，恳求你说：‘我们有罪了，我们悖逆了，我们作恶了’；

耶和华向这城呼叫，智慧人必敬畏他的名：“你们当听是谁派定刑杖的惩罚。

现在万军之耶和华如此说：你们要省察自己的行为。你们撒的种多，收的却少；你们吃，却不得饱；喝，却不得足；穿衣服，却不得暖；得工钱的，将工钱装在破漏的囊中。”万军之耶和华如此说：“你们要省察自己的行为。

你们中间有受苦的呢，他就该祷告；有喜乐的呢，他就该歌颂。

耶和华啊，你的手高举，他们仍然不看；却要看你为百姓发的热心，因而抱愧，并且有火烧灭你的敌人。

我受苦是与我有益，为要使我学习你的律例。

耶和华啊，你所管教、用律法所教训的人是有福的！你使他在遭难的日子得享平安；惟有恶人陷在所挖的坑中。

经上说：‘我喜爱怜恤，不喜爱祭祀。’这句话的意思，你们且去揣摩。我来本不是召义人，乃是召罪人。”
