How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.

孰如智者、孰達事理乎、人有智慧、光輝見於其面、厲色變更、

有智之人、明足以察萬理、光華見於面、無不燭照、變剛為柔、孰能與於斯。

Who is like the wise? Who knows the explanation of things? A person’s wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance.

Who is like a wise person? Who knows how to explain things? A person’s wisdom makes their face bright. It softens the look on their face.

Who is like the wise? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, and the hardness of his face is changed.

Who is like the wise person, and who knows the interpretation of a matter? A person’s wisdom brightens his face, and the sternness of his face is changed.

Who is like the wise person and who knows the meaning of a matter? A person’s wisdom illuminates his face and makes his stern face brighten up.

Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, And the sternness of his face is changed.

At this point everyone in the high council stared at Stephen, because his face became as bright as an angel’s.

a fierce and heartless nation that shows no respect for the old and no pity for the young.

Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,

I thought,“ Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.For the wise can see where they are going, but fools walk in the dark.” Yet I saw that the wise and the foolish share the same fate.

But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.

“‘ Belteshazzar, that was the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now tell me what it means, for none of the wise men of my kingdom can do so. But you can tell me because the spirit of the holy gods is in you.’“ Upon hearing this, Daniel( also known as Belteshazzar) was overcome for a time, frightened by the meaning of the dream. Then the king said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, don’t be alarmed by the dream and what it means.’“ Belteshazzar replied,‘ I wish the events foreshadowed in this dream would happen to your enemies, my lord, and not to you!

Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.

If you prize wisdom, she will make you great. Embrace her, and she will honor you.She will place a lovely wreath on your head; she will present you with a beautiful crown.”

When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord.So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him.

And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.

The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

“ But if an angel from heaven appears— a special messenger to intercede for a person and declare that he is upright—

As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light.

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.

But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future. Now I will tell you your dream and the visions you saw as you lay on your bed.“ While Your Majesty was sleeping, you dreamed about coming events. He who reveals secrets has shown you what is going to happen.And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it.”“ It is beyond my power to do this,” Joseph replied.“ But God can tell you what it means and set you at ease.”

So Pharaoh asked his officials,“ Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are.

by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles.

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.For,“ Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.

And they replied,“ We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.”“ Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied.“ Go ahead and tell me your dreams.”

The king said to Daniel,“ Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.”
