As no one has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has power over the time of their death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.

No one can stop the wind from blowing. And no one has the power to decide when they will die. No one is let out of the army in times of war. And evil won’t let go of those who practice it.

No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain it, and there is no authority over the day of death; no one is discharged during battle, and wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape.

就如人人註定都有一死，而且死後有審判，

惡人因自己的惡行被推倒，義人在臨死時有投靠。

誰能存活而不見死亡呢？誰能救自己的靈魂脫離陰間的權勢呢？細拉

實際上，基督雖然在軟弱中被釘十字架，但他卻在神的大能中活著。的確，我們雖然在基督裡也軟弱，但為了你們，我們卻在神的大能中，將要與基督一同活著。

惡人將歸到陰間，所有忘記神的國家也是如此。

他們只是依靠財富、自誇多財的人。人實在不能救贖弟兄，也不能把他的贖價交給神，——因為靈魂的贖價昂貴，人只好永遠罷休——好使他永久存活，不看到陰坑。

你確實把他們放在易滑之地，使他們仆倒滅亡。他們怎麼在一瞬間就成了廢墟呢？他們被恐怖的事徹底掃除！人醒來時怎樣輕視夢，主啊，你醒起時，也會怎樣輕視夢幻般的他們！我心中苦毒，肺腑被刺傷時，我是愚昧無知的；我在你面前如同畜類。但是我一直隨著你；你抓住我的右手。你以你的謀略引導我，以後必接我到榮耀裡。除你以外，在天上我還有誰呢？除你以外，在地上我也沒有所喜悅的。我的肉體和我的心都在衰竭，但神是我心裡的力量，是我繼業的份，直到永遠。看哪，遠離你的都將滅亡；所有背棄你如同犯姦淫的，你都要除盡！至於我，在神的近旁對我是美好的；我以主耶和華為我的避難所，為要講述他一切的作為。

在卑賤中被種下，在榮耀中復活；在軟弱中被種下，在強壯中復活；

你們與死亡立的約必廢除，與陰間定的協議也立不住；衝擊而來的鞭子經過時，你們必被踐踏；

確實我們都會死去，如同潑在地上的水不能收回，但神不是要取人性命，而是要想出方法不讓流亡者一直被驅逐而遠離他。

為此神要把你永久拆毀，他會抓住你，把你從帳篷裡拖出來，把你從活人之地連根拔出。細拉義人看見，就會心存敬畏，並且譏笑這人：「看哪，這個人不把神當作自己的保障，他依靠自己豐盛的財富，靠自己的奸惡得勝。」

誰知道人的靈是否往上升，獸的靈是否往下降入地裡呢？
