If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?But as it is, God has arranged each one of the parts in the body just as he wanted.And if they were all the same part, where would the body be?As it is, there are many parts, but one body.The eye cannot say to the hand,“ I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet,“ I don’t need you!”On the contrary, those parts of the body that are weaker are indispensable.And those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unrespectable parts are treated with greater respect,which our respectable parts do not need. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other.So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

because the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of the body.Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives are to submit to their husbands in everything.Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for herto make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,since we are members of his body.For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church.

And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful.

When everything is subject to Christ, then the Son himself will also be subject to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person.

He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.

Therefore, you must submit, not only because of wrath but also because of your conscience.

There is one body and one Spirit— just as you were called to one hope at your calling—

In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.
