For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,

So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

Here is another way that our people can learn to engage in good works to meet pressing needs and so not be unfruitful.

For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

This saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on such truths, so that those who have placed their faith in God may be intent on engaging in good works. These things are good and beneficial for all people.

the people whom I formed for myself, so they might praise me.”

And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works,

Tell them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others.

showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,

and have been clothed with the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.

and maintain good conduct among the non- Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when he appears.

For when they see their children, whom I will produce among them, they will honor my name. They will honor the Holy One of Jacob; they will respect the God of Israel.

The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked.

We are coworkers belonging to God. You are God’s field, God’s building.

Remember these things, O Jacob, O Israel, for you are my servant. I formed you to be my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you!

But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.

All of your people will be godly; they will possess the land permanently. I will plant them like a shoot; they will be the product of my labor, through whom I reveal my splendor.

encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good thing you do or say.

The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made!

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

Create for me a pure heart, O God! Renew a resolute spirit within me!

Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which in translation means Dorcas). She was continually doing good deeds and acts of charity.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced peace and thus was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, the church increased in numbers.

“ But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“ I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

I will give them a single-minded purpose to live in a way that always shows respect for me. They will want to do that for their own good and the good of the children who descend from them.I will make a lasting covenant with them that I will never stop doing good to them. I will fill their hearts and minds with respect for me so that they will never again turn away from me.

to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil symbolizing joy, instead of mourning, a garment symbolizing praise, instead of discouragement. They will be called oaks of righteousness, trees planted by the LORD to reveal his splendor.

Walk just as he has commanded you so that you may live, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land you are going to possess.

Similarly good works are also obvious, and the ones that are not cannot remain hidden.

because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

The LORD who commands armies will pronounce a blessing over the earth, saying,“ Blessed be my people, Egypt, and the work of my hands, Assyria, and my special possession, Israel!”

and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress– as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works.

but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nations will not take up the sword against other nations, and they will no longer train for war.O descendants of Jacob, come, let us walk in the LORD’s guiding light.

If only my people would obey me! If only Israel would keep my commands!

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”Nicodemus said to him,“ How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb and be born a second time, can he?”Jesus answered,“ I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation!

in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience,

Is this how you repay the LORD, you foolish, unwise people? Is he not your father, your creator? He has made you and established you.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
