That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.

That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther everything Haman had owned. Haman had been the enemy of the Jews. Esther had told the king that Mordecai was her cousin. So Mordecai came to see the king.

On that day King Ahasuerus gave to Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told what he was to her.

On that same day King Xerxes gave the property of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther. Then Mordecai was brought before the king, for Esther had told the king how they were related.

That same day King Ahasuerus awarded Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. Mordecai entered the king’s presence because Esther had revealed her relationship to Mordecai.

On that day King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther; and Mordecai came before the king, because Esther had disclosed what he was to her.

On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the Jews’ enemy, to Esther the queen. Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was to her.

末底改抚养自己叔叔的女儿哈大沙（哈大沙就是以斯帖），因为她没有父母。这女子体态美丽，容貌娟秀；她父母死了，末底改就收养她作自己的女儿。

末底改的叔叔亚比孩的女儿以斯帖，就是末底改收养作自己女儿的，轮到她进去见王的时候，除了王的太监，掌理女子的希该所预备的以外，以斯帖别无所求；看见以斯帖的，都喜爱她。

世人来来往往只是幻影，他们忙乱也是虚空；积聚财物，却不知道谁要来收取。

善人给子孙留下产业，罪人的财富，却是为义人积藏。

他虽然堆积银子如尘沙，预备衣服如泥土，他尽管预备，义人却要穿上；他的银子，无辜的人也要瓜分。

神却对他说：‘无知的人哪，今天晚上，你的灵魂必被取去，你所预备的要归给谁呢？’

以斯帖回答：“这敌人和仇人，就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前立刻惊惶万分。

他们倚靠财富，自夸多财。但他们没有一个能把他的兄弟赎回，或把他的赎价交给神，（因为他生命的赎价非常昂贵，只好永远放弃，）使他永远活着，不见朽坏。他看见智慧人死去，愚昧人和愚顽人一同灭亡，把他们的财产留给别人。他们心里想，他们的家必永存，他们的住处必留到万代；他们以自己的名，称自己的地方。但是人不能长享富贵；他们就像要灭亡的牲畜一样。这就是愚昧人的道路；但在他们以后的人，还欣赏他们的话。（细拉）

那时在王身边的有甲示拿、示达、押玛他、他施斯、米力、玛西拿、米母干等七位波斯、玛代的大臣；他们都是常见王面，在国中居首位的。

我恨恶我的一切劳碌，就是我在日光之下的劳碌，因为我不得不把劳碌的成果留给后人。那人将来是智是愚，有谁晓得呢？可是他竟要掌管一切我劳碌得来的，就是我在日光之下用智慧得来的。这又是虚空。

凡是藉着高息厚利增加自己财富的，就是为那恩待穷人的人积蓄。
