“我的日子比跑信的更快，急速过去，不见福乐。

正月十三日，就召了王的书记来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，奉亚哈随鲁王的名写旨意，传与总督和各省的省长，并各族的首领；又用王的戒指盖印，交给驿卒传到王的各省，吩咐将犹大人，无论老少妇女孩子，在一日之间，十二月，就是亚达月十三日，全然剪除，杀戮灭绝，并夺他们的财为掠物。

驿卒就把王和众首领的信，遵着王命传遍以色列和犹大。信内说：“以色列人哪，你们当转向耶和华亚伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神，好叫他转向你们这脱离亚述王手的余民。

用你打碎马和骑马的；用你打碎战车和坐在其上的；

于是托亚哈的名写信，用王的印印上，送给那些与拿伯同城居住的长老贵胄。

王的话本有权力，谁敢问他说“你做什么”呢？

成群的骆驼，并米甸和以法的独峰驼必遮满你；示巴的众人都必来到；要奉上黄金乳香，又要传说耶和华的赞美。

你怎能说：‘我没有玷污、没有随从众巴力’？你看你谷中的路，就知道你所行的如何。你是快行的独峰驼，狂奔乱走。

尼布甲尼撒王晓谕住在全地各方、各国、各族的人说：“愿你们大享平安！

众人各按各份，将养马与快马的大麦和干草送到官吏那里。
