一切良善的施予和完美的恩赐都是从天上，从众光之父那里来的。祂不像转动的影子变幻无常。

耶和华的灵必住在他身上，使他有聪明和智慧、谋略和能力，能认识并敬畏耶和华。他必以敬畏耶和华为乐。他不凭眼见施行审判，不凭耳闻断定是非，而是按公义审判贫穷人，以公正为受苦者断案。他必用口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。公义必作他的腰带，信实必作他肋下的带子。

一切智慧和知识都蕴藏在祂里面。

恩赐各有不同，但圣灵是同一位。事奉各有不同，但主是同一位。工作各有不同，但上帝是同一位，祂在众人当中成就万事。圣灵给各人不同的恩赐为要使众人得益处。这人从圣灵领受智言，那人从圣灵领受知识；圣灵赐这人信心，赐那人医病的恩赐；圣灵使这人能行神迹，使那人能做先知讲道；使这人能辨别诸灵，使那人能说方言，又使另一人能翻译方言。

主耶和华的灵在我身上，因为耶和华膏立了我，让我传福音给贫穷的人，差遣我医治伤心的人，宣告被掳的人得释放、被囚的人得自由；宣告我们上帝耶和华的恩年和祂报仇的日子，安慰一切悲哀的人；以华冠取代锡安哀伤者头上的灰尘，以喜乐的膏油取代他们的哀伤，以颂赞的外袍取代他们的沮丧。他们将被称为耶和华所栽种的公义橡树，以彰显祂的荣耀。

因为上帝指点他，教导他耕种之道。
