I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.

你们却要侍奉耶和华你们的神和我为你们所要兴起的王大卫。”

伯利恒以法他啊，你在犹大诸城中为小，将来必有一位从你那里出来，在以色列中为我作掌权的；他的根源从亘古，从太初就有。耶和华必将以色列人交付敌人，直等那生产的妇人生下子来。那时掌权者其余的弟兄必归到以色列人那里。他必起来，倚靠耶和华的大能，并耶和华他神之名的威严，牧养他的羊群。他们要安然居住；因为他必日见尊大，直到地极。这位必作我们的平安。当亚述人进入我们的地境，践踏宫殿的时候，我们就立起七个牧者，八个首领攻击他。

你们当就近我来；侧耳而听，就必得活。我必与你们立永约，就是应许大卫那可靠的恩典。我已立他作万民的见证，为万民的君王和司令。

到了牧长显现的时候，你们必得那永不衰残的荣耀冠冕。

但愿赐平安的神，就是那凭永约之血、使群羊的大牧人、我主耶稣从死里复活的神，

从耶西的本必发一条；从他根生的枝子必结果实。

你们从前好像迷路的羊，如今却归到你们灵魂的牧人监督了。

后来以色列人必归回，寻求他们的神耶和华和他们的王大卫。在末后的日子，必以敬畏的心归向耶和华，领受他的恩惠。

我必设立照管他们的牧人，牧养他们。他们不再惧怕，不再惊惶，也不缺少一个；这是耶和华说的。”耶和华说：“日子将到，我要给大卫兴起一个公义的苗裔；他必掌王权，行事有智慧，在地上施行公平和公义。在他的日子，犹大必得救，以色列也安然居住。他的名必称为‘耶和华我们的义’。”

“我耶稣差遣我的使者为众教会将这些事向你们证明。我是大卫的根，又是他的后裔。我是明亮的晨星。”

万军之耶和华说：“刀剑哪，应当兴起，攻击我的牧人和我的同伴。击打牧人，羊就分散；我必反手加在微小者的身上。”

智慧人的言语好像刺棍；会中之师的言语又像钉稳的钉子，都是一个牧者所赐的。
