They may serve in my sanctuary, having charge of the gates of the temple and serving in it; they may slaughter the burnt offerings and sacrifices for the people and stand before the people and serve them.

They might serve in my temple. They might be in charge of its gates. They might kill the burnt offerings and sacrifices for the people. And they might stand in front of the people and serve them in other ways.

They shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before the people, to minister to them.

They may still be Temple guards and gatekeepers, and they may slaughter the animals brought for burnt offerings and be present to help the people.

Yet they will occupy my sanctuary, serving as guards at the temple gates and ministering at the temple. They will slaughter the burnt offerings and other sacrifices for the people and will stand before them to serve them.

Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house and ministering in the house; they shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.

以色列族之上帝、區別爾曹、離以色列族、使進於前、服役於耶和華會幕、立會眾前、以為供役、其事豈微細哉。

祭司甚寡、剝燔祭之皮、弗遑暇及、其同儔利未人助之、迨他祭司自潔以竣厥事、蓋利未人黽勉以潔己、較諸祭司、其誠過之。

其人告我曰、南向之室、守殿之祭司居之、

司閽之數如左、可喇族、即亞薩孫、可喇子、示利米。示利米長子撒加利亞、次耶鐵、三西巴地、四押業、五以攔、六約哈難、七以利阿乃。阿伯以東長子示罵雅、次約薩八、三約亞、四沙甲、五拿但業、六亞米利、七以薩迦、八庇耳太、蓋上帝錫嘏阿伯以東、示罵雅子阿得尼、哩巴益、阿伯、益薩八、以利戶、西馬迦、皆壯士豪傑、得權於父家。

會中之人、未潔者眾、弗敢宰逾越節羔、利未人代宰、則於耶和華前、可為潔。

惟守殿門、供其役事、則無不可。

我於以色列族中、取爾兄弟利未人、賜之於汝、以供會幕役事。

禮物均備、祭司立於其所、利未人循其班列、俱遵王命。宰逾越節羔、利未人剝皮、畀血於祭司、祭司灑之。

耶和華諭摩西曰、可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會眾、守所當守、守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使為助理。惟立亞倫及其子為祭司、以守其職、外人近聖室、必致死亡。○耶和華諭摩西曰、我耶和華取利未人、代以色列族初胎之男子、故利未人屬我。昔在埃及、我戮其地諸冢子時、取以色列族初胎之男、首生之畜、使獻於我、故凡初胎與首生者、悉歸於我、我耶和華所命如是。○耶和華在西乃野、諭摩西曰、利未諸丁男、循其世系宗族、自一月以上者、當核其數。摩西遵耶和華命而行。利未子名、臚列如左、革順、哥轄、米喇哩。革順生立尼、示每。哥轄生暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄。米喇哩生抹利、母示、斯利未子孫、依其世系。○屬革順者有立尼、示每、二族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計七千五百、皆當於會幕後、西向列營。拉利子以利亞薩為革順族長。革順人所守者、會幕、及其蓋、幬為幕門、幕帷、及壇四周之場帷、幬為場門、及所用之索。○屬哥轄者、有暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄四族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計八千六百、使守聖所、皆當於會幕南向列營。烏泄子以利撒反、為哥轄族長。哥轄人所守者、法匱、几案、燈臺、祭壇、香壇、與幬、及聖室器皿、用以服事者。祭司亞倫子以利亞撒為利未族諸長之冠、統理守聖室之人。○屬米喇哩者、有抹利母示二族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計六千二百、皆當於會幕北向列營、亞庇孩子蘇列為米喇哩族長。米喇哩人所守者、會幕之板、楗、柱、座、與所用器皿、及場四周之柱、座、釘、索。○
