This is the answer they gave us:“ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, one that a great king of Israel built and finished.

Here is the answer they gave us. They said,“ We serve the God of heaven and earth. We are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago. The great King Solomon built it and finished it.

And this was their reply to us:‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the house that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

“ This was their answer:‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the Temple that was built here many years ago by a great king of Israel.

This is the reply they gave us: We are the servants of the God of the heavens and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

So they answered us as follows, saying,‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

因为我所归属所事奉的神，他的使者昨天夜里站在我的旁边，说：

以色列人出埃及地以后四百八十年，所罗门作以色列王的第四年西弗月，就是二月，他动工建造耶和华的殿。所罗门为耶和华所建的殿，长二十七公尺，宽九公尺，高十三公尺半。殿的前廊长九公尺，和殿的宽度一样，宽四公尺半。又为殿做了窗架子内宽外窄的窗户。紧靠殿墙，就是围着外殿和内殿的墙，他又建造平台，围绕殿的四周，做成厢房。厢房的下层宽两公尺两公寸；中层宽两公尺七公寸；第三层宽三公尺一公寸。他在殿墙外面四周留有暗架，所以梁木不必插入殿墙里。建殿是用采石场预备好了的石料；所以建殿的时候，在殿里听不到锤子、斧头或任何铁器的声音。

“凡在人面前承认我的，我在我天父面前也要承认他；

如果你们认为事奉耶和华不好，那么今日你们就可以选择你们所要事奉的：是你们列祖在大河那边事奉的神呢，还是你们现在所住亚摩利人之地的神呢？至于我和我家，我们必事奉耶和华。”

至于我，我绝不以别的夸口，只夸我们主耶稣基督的十字架。藉着这十字架，在我来说，世界已经钉在十字架上了；就世界来说，我也已经钉在十字架上了。

我在君王面前讲论你的法度，也不以为耻。

所罗门在耶路撒冷，在耶和华向他父亲大卫显现过的摩利亚山上，就是在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场上，大卫预备的地方，开工建造耶和华的殿。所罗门执政后第四年二月初二开始建造。所罗门建造神殿宇的根基是这样：按古时的尺寸，长二十七公尺，宽九公尺。殿前走廊长九公尺，与殿的宽度相等；高九公尺（“高九公尺”原文作“高一百二十”；现参照古译本修译）；里面贴上纯金。大殿的墙都盖上松木，又贴上精金，又在上面刻上棕树和链子。
