Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, began to work. So did Joshua, the son of Jozadak. They began to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were right there with them. They were helping them.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jehozadak responded by starting again to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them and helped them.

約薩達的兒子耶書亞及其他祭司、撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯及其親屬，一起重新築造以色列上帝的祭壇，為要照上帝的僕人摩西在律法書上的記載在壇上獻燔祭。

耶和華又讓我看見約書亞大祭司站在祂的天使面前，撒旦站在約書亞的右邊要控訴他。耶和華對撒旦說：「撒旦啊，耶和華斥責你！揀選耶路撒冷的耶和華斥責你！這人豈不像從火中抽出來的一根柴嗎？」那時，約書亞穿著污穢的衣服站在天使面前。天使對侍立在周圍的說：「脫掉他污穢的衣服。」他又對約書亞說：「看啊，我已除掉你的罪，我要給你穿上華美的衣服。」

撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞和所有的餘民聽到他們的上帝耶和華藉先知哈該所講的話，都順服耶和華的話。百姓都敬畏耶和華。耶和華的使者哈該向百姓傳達耶和華的話，說：「耶和華說，『我與你們同在。』」耶和華感動撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞和所有的餘民，他們就動工建造他們的上帝萬軍之耶和華的殿，時值大流士王執政第二年六月二十四日。

同一天，耶和華第二次對哈該說：「你告訴猶大省長所羅巴伯，『我必震動天地，推翻君王的寶座，消滅列國的勢力，掀翻他們的戰車和駕車的人，使戰馬跌倒、騎士自相殘殺。萬軍之耶和華說，我的僕人撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯啊，到那日，我必使你像我蓋印的戒指，因為我揀選了你。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』」

我們並不是要操縱你們的信仰，而是要幫助你們，使你們喜樂，因為你們在信仰上已經站穩了。

他對我說：「這是耶和華對所羅巴伯講的話。萬軍之耶和華說，『不靠權勢，不靠才能，乃靠我的靈。大山啊，你算什麼？你必在所羅巴伯面前化為平地。他必搬出那塊封殿頂的石頭，伴隨著歡呼聲——願恩典、恩典歸於這殿！』」耶和華的話又傳給了我，說：「所羅巴伯的手奠立這殿的根基，他的手也必完成這項工程。那時你便知道是萬軍之耶和華差遣我到你們這裡來的。

要用這些金銀製作冠冕，戴在約撒答的兒子約書亞大祭司頭上，

所羅巴伯啊，你要剛強，這是耶和華說的。約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞啊，你要剛強；這地方的所有百姓啊，你們要剛強。這是耶和華說的。你們要動工，因為我與你們同在。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。這是你們離開埃及時我對你們的應許。不要懼怕，我的靈仍住在你們當中。「『萬軍之耶和華說，不久，我要再次震動天、地、海洋和旱地。萬軍之耶和華說，我要震動萬國，萬國的珍寶都要送到這殿，我要使這殿充滿榮耀。萬軍之耶和華說，金子是我的，銀子也是我的。萬軍之耶和華說，我要使這殿比從前更加榮耀。萬軍之耶和華說，我要在這地方賜下平安。』」
