遣之至加西巴、見民長易多、告之、又告其同宗、殿中奔走者、當令人至此、可於上帝殿、供其職司。

命之往迦西斐雅、見其處族長易多、又傳之所當告易多、及其兄弟、並居迦西斐雅地殿役之言、即勸其遣人來、在我天主之殿供役事、

and I ordered them to go to Iddo, the leader in Kasiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his fellow Levites, the temple servants in Kasiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.

I ordered all those men to go to Iddo. He was the leader in Kasiphia. He and his Levite relatives were temple servants there. I told my men what to say to them. I wanted Iddo and his Levite relatives to bring some attendants to us for the house of our God.

and sent them to Iddo, the leading man at the place Casiphia, telling them what to say to Iddo and his brothers and the temple servants at the place Casiphia, namely, to send us ministers for the house of our God.

I sent them to Iddo, the leader of the Levites at Casiphia, to ask him and his relatives and the Temple servants to send us ministers for the Temple of God at Jerusalem.

And I sent them forth unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia; and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and his brethren the Nethinim, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

尼提寧：西哈的子孫、哈蘇巴的子孫、答巴俄的子孫、

利未人從三十歲以外的都被數點，他們男丁的數目共有三萬八千；其中有二萬四千人管理耶和華殿的事，有六千人作官長和士師，有四千人作守門的，又有四千人用大衛所做的樂器頌讚耶和華。大衛將利未人革順、哥轄、米拉利的子孫分了班次。

尼提寧和所羅門僕人的後裔共三百九十二名。

王說：「你這些話莫非是約押的主意嗎？」婦人說：「我敢在我主我王面前起誓：王的話正對，不偏左右，是王的僕人約押吩咐我的，這些話是他教導我的。

進去見王，對王如此如此說。」於是約押將當說的話教導了婦人。

我已將你們的弟兄利未人從以色列人中揀選出來歸耶和華，是給你們為賞賜的，為要辦理會幕的事。

耶和華如此說：你若歸回，我就將你再帶來，使你站在我面前；你若將寶貴的和下賤的分別出來，你就可以當作我的口。他們必歸向你，你卻不可歸向他們。

我從前留你在克里特，是要你將那沒有辦完的事都辦整齊了，又照我所吩咐你的，在各城設立長老。

然後利未人進去，在亞倫和他兒子面前，在會幕中辦事。耶和華指着利未人怎樣吩咐摩西，以色列人就怎樣向他們行了。耶和華曉諭摩西說：「利未人是這樣：從二十五歲以外，他們要前來任職，辦會幕的事。到了五十歲要停工退任，不再辦事，只要在會幕裏，和他們的弟兄一同伺候，謹守所吩咐的，不再辦事了。至於所吩咐利未人的，你要這樣向他們行。」

利未人不必再擡帳幕和其中所用的一切器皿了。」照着大衛臨終所吩咐的，利未人從二十歲以外的都被數點。他們的職任是服事亞倫的子孫，在耶和華的殿和院子，並屋中辦事，潔淨一切聖物，就是辦神殿的事務，並管理陳設餅，素祭的細麵，或無酵薄餅，或用盤烤，或用油調和的物，又管理各樣的升斗尺度；每日早晚，站立稱謝讚美耶和華，又在安息日、月朔，並節期，按數照例，將燔祭常常獻給耶和華；又看守會幕和聖所，並守耶和華吩咐他們弟兄亞倫子孫的，辦耶和華殿的事。

我必在他們弟兄中間給他們興起一位先知，像你。我要將當說的話傳給他；他要將我一切所吩咐的都傳給他們。

於是耶和華伸手按我的口，對我說：我已將當說的話傳給你。

你要將當說的話傳給他；我也要賜你和他口才，又要指教你們所當行的事。

亞達薛西王第七年，以色列人、祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守門的、尼提寧，有上耶路撒冷的。
