Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

For none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself.If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.

who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God?

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes,since Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them.

If you died with Christ to the elements of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:

because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

The law came along to multiply the trespass. But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.

because the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
