我豈是海洋或是海怪，你竟然設守衛防備我？

以色列人生養繁衍眾多，人數增加，極其強盛，遍滿了那地。

飛鳥各從其類，牲畜各從其類，地上所有爬行的動物，各從其類，每樣一對，都要到你那裡來，好保全生命。

他們一家，所有走獸各從其類，所有牲畜各從其類，所有在地上爬行的動物各從其類，所有有羽有翼的飛禽各從其類，

你們要繁衍增多；要在地上滋生、增多。”

河裡必滋生青蛙；青蛙必上來，進到你的宮殿和臥房裡去，跳上你的床，進你臣僕的房屋，跳上你人民的身上，進你的爐子和摶麵盆。

管晝夜，分光暗。神看這是好的。

神看他所造的一切都很好。有晚上，有早晨；這是第六日。

陰魂和在水中居住的，都在水下痛苦不堪。

“人子啊！你要為埃及王法老作一首哀歌，對他說：‘你像列國中的少壯獅子，又像海中的海怪，你在河中翻騰，用你的爪攪動河水，使江河渾濁。

約拿怎樣三日三夜在大魚的腹中，人子也要照樣三日三夜在地裡。

於是耶和華吩咐那魚，魚就把約拿吐在陸地上。

耶和華卻安排了一條大魚，把約拿吞下。約拿就在魚腹中三日三夜。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為2:1）
