God blessed them. He said,“ Have little ones so that there will be many of you. Fill the water in the seas. Let there be more and more birds on the earth.”

The Lord blessed the last part of Job’s life even more than the first part. He gave Job 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels. He gave him 1,000 pairs of oxen and 1,000 donkeys.

“ Look at Behemoth. It is a huge animal. I made both of you. It eats grass like an ox.

Then God blessed Noah and his sons. He said to them,“ Have children so that there are many of you. Fill the earth.

As a vine bears a lot of fruit, so may your wife have many children by you. May they sit around your table like young olive trees.

“‘ I will bless you. I will give you many children so that there will be many of you. And I will be faithful to the covenant I made with you.

Our storerooms will be filled with every kind of food. The sheep in our fields will increase by thousands. They will increase by tens of thousands.Our oxen will pull heavy loads. None of our city walls will be broken down. No one will be carried off as a prisoner. No cries of pain will be heard in our streets.

The blessing of the Lord brings wealth. And it comes without painful work.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love. Let them give thanks for the wonderful things he does for people.

But Laban said to him,“ If you are pleased with me, stay here. I’ve discovered that the Lord has blessed me because of you.”

You had only a little before I came. But that little has become a lot. The Lord has blessed you everywhere I’ve been. But when can I do something for my own family?”

God said to him,“ I am the Mighty God. Have children so that there will be many of you. You will become the father of a nation and a community of nations. Your later family will include kings.
