諸天述說上帝的榮耀，穹蒼傳揚他手的作為。這日到那日發出言語，這夜到那夜傳出知識。

是禍，是福，不都出於至高者的口嗎？

願耶和華的榮耀存到永遠！願耶和華喜愛自己所造的！

因為六日之內，耶和華造天、地、海和其中的萬物，第七日就安息了；所以耶和華賜福與安息日，定為聖日。

那時，晨星一同歌唱；上帝的眾使者也都歡呼。

到第七日，上帝已經完成了造物之工，就在第七日安息了，歇了他所做一切的工。
