Canst thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong as a molten mirror?

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens.

To him that by understanding made the heavens; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:To him that spread forth the earth above the waters; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:

And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if a tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there shall it be.

Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow, Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, Against the day of battle and war?By what way is the light parted, Or the east wind scattered upon the earth?Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder;To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; On the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

By his Spirit the heavens are garnished; His hand hath pierced the swift serpent.

Yea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture; He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:

Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that are above the heavens.

But Jehovah is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.

Praise ye Jehovah. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power.
