神说：“天下的水要聚在一处，使旱地露出来！”事就这样成了。

And God said,“ Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.

And God said,“ Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so.

Then God said,“ Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened.

他们故意忘记这事：在太古的时候，因着神的话，就有了天，和从水而出、藉水而成的地。

‘你们连我都不惧怕吗？在我面前你们也不战兢吗？’这是耶和华的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永远的界限，海就不能越过；波浪翻腾，却不能漫过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法逾越。

海洋属他，因为是他创造的，陆地也是他的手造成的。

他回答说：“我是希伯来人，我敬畏耶和华天上的神，就是那创造海洋和陆地的。”

江河向海里流，海却不满溢；江河之水归回本源，循环流转。

他把海水聚集成垒（“成垒”或译：“在皮袋里”），把深海安放在库房中。

他上使穹苍坚固，下使深渊的水泉稳定；他为海洋定出界限，海水不能越过他的命令，他又划定大地的根基；

在水面划出界限，直到光与暗的交界。

海水冲出如婴孩出母胎，那时谁用门把海水关闭呢？是我以云彩当作海的衣服，以幽暗当作包裹海的布；我为海定界限，又安置门闩和门户，说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过，你狂傲的波浪要在这里止住。’

地和地上所充满的，世界和住在世上的，都是属于耶和华的。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）因为他把地奠定在海上，使世界安定在众水之上。

指着那活到永永远远，创造天和天上之物、地和地上之物、海和海中之物的神起誓，说：“必不再延迟了！

你把大地坚立在根基上，使地永永远远不动摇。你用深水像衣服一般覆盖大地，使众水高过群山。因你的斥责，水就退去；因你的雷声，水就奔逃。众水流经群山，向下流往众谷，流到你为它们指定的地方。你定了界限，使众水不能越过；它们不再转回掩盖大地。

要称谢那用智慧造成诸天的，因为他的慈爱永远长存。要称谢那铺张大地在水上的，因为他的慈爱永远长存。

你在水上立起你楼阁的栋梁；你以云彩为战车；乘驾风的翅膀而行。

他把北极铺在空间，把地球挂在太空。
