對亞當永恆主上帝則說：『你既聽了你妻子的話，喫那樹上的果子，就是我吩咐你說：「不可喫」的，那麼土地就必因你的緣故而受咒詛；儘你一生的日子你必勞苦，才能從土地得喫的；

又对亚当说：“你既听从妻子的话，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子，地必为你的缘故受咒诅；你必终身劳苦才能从地里得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。

耶和华上帝又对亚当说：“因为你听从妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子，地必因你而受咒诅。你必终生艰辛劳苦，才能吃到地里出产的食物。

耶和华神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子；地就必因你的缘故受咒诅；你必终生劳苦，才能从地里得吃的。

神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你‘不可吃’的那棵树的果实，土地就因你的缘故受诅咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能从土地得吃的。

又對亞當說：你既聽從妻子的話，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子，地必為你的緣故受咒詛；你必終身勞苦才能從地裏得吃的。

又對亞當說：「你既聽從你妻子的話，吃了那樹上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的緣故受詛咒；你必終生勞苦才能從土地得吃的。

耶和華上帝又對亞當說：「因為你聽從妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子，地必因你而受咒詛。你必終生艱辛勞苦，才能吃到地裡出產的食物。

耶和華神又對亞當說：“因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。

神又對亞當說：「因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你『不可吃』的那棵樹的果實，土地就因你的緣故受詛咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能從土地得吃的。

謂亞當曰、爾既聽婦言、食我所禁之果、土必緣爾見詛、爾畢生勤勞、食其所產、

謂亞當曰、爾既聽婦言、食我所禁食之樹果、地必緣爾見詛、爾必畢生勞苦、始得食地之所產、

To Adam he said,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’“ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

The Lord God said to Adam,“ You listened to your wife’s suggestion. You ate fruit from the tree I warned you about. I said,‘ You must not eat its fruit.’“ So I am putting a curse on the ground because of what you did. All the days of your life you will have to work hard. It will be painful for you to get food from the ground.

And to Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

And to the man he said,“ Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.

And he said to the man,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; With hard labor you shall eat from it All the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it’:“ Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

And He said to Adam,“ Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed[ is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat[ of] it all the days of thy life;

But to Adam he said,“ Because you obeyed your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground thanks to you; in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

To Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

被創造之物服在徒勞挫折之下、不是自願的，乃是因那叫它服在指望中者的旨意；因為被創造之物還直盼望得自主、脫離敗壞之奴役，而進入上帝兒女們之榮耀之自由。我們知道、所有被創造之物都一同歎息，同受產難，直到如今。

給他起名叫挪亞，說：『永恆主曾咒詛這土地，以致我們操作勞苦；這兒子必將我們安頓好了，來減輕我們的操作、和我們手中的勞苦。』

大地在它居民之下被沾污，因為他們越犯了律法，違背了律例，違犯了永遠的約。因此大地被咒詛所吞滅，上頭的居民擔受了罪罰；因此地上的居民被燒焦，剩下的人很少。

人從他一切的勞碌和操心，就是他在日光之下所勞碌的，得了甚麼呢？因為他一生的日子都是痛苦，他的勞苦便是愁苦；連夜間他的心也不能偃息：這也是虛空。

『婦人所生的人歲數短促，滿有煩擾。

你們早早就起來，晚晚才歇息，喫勤勞得來的飯，盡是枉然；因為主在所愛的人睡覺時，已賜給他了。

因為禍患並非從塵土中出，苦難也不是從土地裏生起的；因為人之生也、總有苦難，就如火星、總是往上飛的。

『惡人的燈何嘗熄滅呢？災難何嘗臨到他們？上帝何嘗氣忿忿把痛苦分給他們呢？

於是女人見那棵樹的果子做食品似乎好喫，又悅人眼目，而且可喜愛、能使人有智慧，就摘取那果子來喫了；又給她丈夫一齊喫，她丈夫也喫了。

我專心一志用智慧去尋求窺探天下所發生過的一切事，就知道上帝給世人所勞碌的是多麼喫力的勞苦。我見過日光之下所發生過的一切事；啊，都是虛空！都是捕風！

故此我恨惡生命，因為在日光之下所發生過的事都使我憂苦；因為都是虛空，都是捕風。

永恆主上帝吩咐那人說：『園中各樣樹的果子、你都可以喫：只是那能使人分別善惡的知識樹的果子，你卻不可喫；因為你喫的日子、你一定死。』

我們曉得、律法無論說甚麼，都是向律法以內的人講的，好堵住每一個人的口，使全世界的人都伏在上帝審判之下；

他主人回答他說：「又惡又懶的奴僕，你既知道我沒有撒種的地方就收割，沒有簸散的地方就收集，那你就該把我的銀子投在錢商那裏，我來的時候、可以把屬我的錢連利息都收回來呀。

主人對他說：「惡奴僕，我要憑你的口定你的罪。你知道我是嚴厲的人，沒有放下的、就要拿取；沒有撒種的、就要收割麼？

傳道人說：虛空之虛空！虛空之虛空！萬事都虛空！人的一切勞碌、他在日光之下所勞碌的、有甚麼益處？

我只吩咐他們以下這一件，說：「你們要聽我的聲音，我就做你們的上帝，你們就做我的子民；你們要行我所吩咐你們的一切道路，好得平安順遂。」但他們卻不聽從，不傾耳以聽，竟憑着自己的計謀，隨自己頑強之壞心思而行，向後而不向前。

因為占卜的罪乃和悖逆相同；拜家神像的罪愆就等於僭妄。你既棄絕了永恆主吩咐的話，永恆主也棄絕你為王。』掃羅對撒母耳說：『我有罪了；我因為懼怕眾民、而聽從他們的話，就越犯了永恆主所吩咐的、和你所說的。

永恆主上帝說：『誰告訴你你赤身裸體呢？我吩咐你不可喫的樹上果子，莫非你喫了麼？』

那時他必回答他們說：「我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既沒有作在這些最小之一個的身上，也就是沒有作在我身上了。

我將這些事告訴你們，是要使你們有平安於我裏面。在世界、你們有苦難；但你們要放膽，我已經勝了世界。』

後來我察看我的手所作的一切事、和我勞碌去作的工；嗐！都是虛空！都是捕風！在日光之下毫無益處。

就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。

因為我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的烈怒而惶恐到死。你將我們的罪孽擺在你面前，將我們的隱惡擺在你聖容之光輝中。我們的日子都在你的震怒中過去；我們度盡了歲月、像歎了一口氣。
