To Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

又对亚当说：“你既听从妻子的话，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子，地必为你的缘故受咒诅；你必终身劳苦才能从地里得吃的。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。

耶和华上帝又对亚当说：“因为你听从妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子，地必因你而受咒诅。你必终生艰辛劳苦，才能吃到地里出产的食物。

耶和华神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那树上的果子；地就必因你的缘故受咒诅；你必终生劳苦，才能从地里得吃的。

神又对亚当说：“因为你听从了你妻子的话，吃了我吩咐你‘不可吃’的那棵树的果实，土地就因你的缘故受诅咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能从土地得吃的。

又對亞當說：你既聽從妻子的話，吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子，地必為你的緣故受咒詛；你必終身勞苦才能從地裏得吃的。

又對亞當說：「你既聽從你妻子的話，吃了那樹上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的緣故受詛咒；你必終生勞苦才能從土地得吃的。

耶和華神又對亞當說：“因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。

對亞當永恆主上帝則說：『你既聽了你妻子的話，喫那樹上的果子，就是我吩咐你說：「不可喫」的，那麼土地就必因你的緣故而受咒詛；儘你一生的日子你必勞苦，才能從土地得喫的；

神又對亞當說：「因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你『不可吃』的那棵樹的果實，土地就因你的緣故受詛咒；你一生所有的日子都必辛苦，才能從土地得吃的。

To Adam he said,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’“ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

The Lord God said to Adam,“ You listened to your wife’s suggestion. You ate fruit from the tree I warned you about. I said,‘ You must not eat its fruit.’“ So I am putting a curse on the ground because of what you did. All the days of your life you will have to work hard. It will be painful for you to get food from the ground.

And to Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

And to the man he said,“ Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.

And he said to the man,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; With hard labor you shall eat from it All the days of your life.

Then to Adam He said,“ Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it’:“ Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

And He said to Adam,“ Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ Do not eat from it’: The ground is cursed because of you. You will eat from it by means of painful labor all the days of your life.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed[ is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat[ of] it all the days of thy life;

But to Adam he said,“ Because you obeyed your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground thanks to you; in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hopethat the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

He named him Noah, saying,“ This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which Yahweh has cursed.”

The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

For what does a man have of all his labor and of the striving of his heart, in which he labors under the sun?For all his days are sorrows, and his travail is grief; yes, even in the night his heart takes no rest. This also is vanity.

“ Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones.

All his days he also eats in darkness, he is frustrated, and has sickness and wrath.

For affliction doesn’t come out of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground;but man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

“ How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out, that their calamity comes on them, that God distributes sorrows in his anger?

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.

I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under the sky. It is a heavy burden that God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and behold, all is vanity and a chasing after wind.

So I hated life, because the work that is worked under the sun was grievous to me; for all is vanity and a chasing after wind.

Yahweh God commanded the man, saying,“ You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.

“ But his lord answered him,‘ You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

“ He said to him,‘ Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down, and reaping that which I didn’t sow.

“ Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher;“ Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”What does man gain from all his labor in which he labors under the sun?

but this thing I commanded them, saying,‘ Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’But they didn’t listen or turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because you have rejected Yahweh’s word, he has also rejected you from being king.”Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of Yahweh, and your words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

God said,“ Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

“ Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”

Then I looked at all the works that my hands had worked, and at the labor that I had labored to do; and behold, all was vanity and a chasing after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

and he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.
