耶和华说：“人岂能在隐密处藏身，使我看不见他呢？”耶和华说：“我岂不充满天地吗？

耶和华啊，你已经鉴察我，认识我。我坐下，我起来，你都晓得；你从远处知道我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；你也深知我一切所行的。耶和华啊，我舌头上的话，你没有一句不知道的。你在我前后环绕我，按手在我身上。这样的知识奇妙，是我不能测的，至高，是我不能及的。我往哪里去躲避你的灵？我往哪里逃、躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那里；我若在阴间下榻，你也在那里。我若展开清晨的翅膀，飞到海极居住，就是在那里，你的手必引导我；你的右手也必扶持我。我若说：“黑暗必定遮蔽我，我周围的亮光必成为黑夜”，黑暗也不能遮蔽我，使你不见，黑夜却如白昼发亮。黑暗和光明，在你看都是一样。

并且被造的没有一样在他面前不显然的；原来万物在那与我们有关系的主眼前，都是赤露敞开的。

我若像亚当遮掩我的过犯，将罪孽藏在怀中；

约拿却起来，逃往他施去躲避耶和华；下到约帕，遇见一只船，要往他施去。他就给了船价，上了船，要与船上的人同往他施去躲避耶和华。

“神注目观看人的道路，看明人的脚步。没有黑暗、阴翳能给作孽的藏身。

耶和华的眼目无处不在；恶人善人，他都鉴察。

他说：“我是希伯来人。我敬畏耶和华那创造沧海旱地之天上的神。”他们就大大惧怕，对他说：“你做的是什么事呢？”他们已经知道他躲避耶和华，因为他告诉了他们。

这是显出律法的功用刻在他们心里，他们是非之心同作见证，并且他们的思念互相较量，或以为是，或以为非。）

他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来；虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来；虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必搜寻，捉出他们来；虽然从我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他们；

那时，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说：

因为耶和华你的神常在你营中行走，要救护你，将仇敌交给你，所以你的营理当圣洁，免得他见你那里有污秽，就离开你。”

他说：“我在园中听见你的声音，我就害怕；因为我赤身露体，我便藏了。”

现在这大火将要烧灭我们，我们何必冒死呢？若再听见耶和华我们神的声音就必死亡。

密云将他遮盖，使他不能看见；他周游穹苍。
