人用腳鐐傷他的腳；他被鐵鍊捆拘。耶和華的話試煉他，直等到他所說的應驗了。

倘若人為叫良心對得住神，就忍受冤屈的苦楚，這是可喜愛的。

我為這福音受苦難，甚至被捆綁，像犯人一樣。然而神的道卻不被捆綁。

這三人穿着褲子、內袍、外衣，和別的衣服，被捆起來扔在烈火的窰中。因為王命緊急，窰又甚熱，那擡沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人都被火焰燒死。

那時酒政對法老說：「我今日想起我的罪來。從前法老惱怒臣僕，把我和膳長下在護衛長府內的監裏。我們二人同夜各做一夢，各夢都有講解。在那裏同着我們有一個希伯來的少年人，是護衛長的僕人，我們告訴他，他就把我們的夢圓解，是按着各人的夢圓解的。後來正如他給我們圓解的成就了：我官復原職，膳長被掛起來了。」法老遂即差人去召約瑟，他們便急忙帶他出監，他就剃頭，刮臉，換衣裳，進到法老面前。

這事以後，埃及王的酒政和膳長得罪了他們的主－埃及王，法老就惱怒酒政和膳長這二臣，把他們下在護衛長府內的監裏，就是約瑟被囚的地方。

人的忿怒要成全你的榮美；人的餘怒，你要禁止。

因受欺壓和審判，他被奪去，至於他同世的人，誰想他受鞭打、從活人之地被剪除，是因我百姓的罪過呢？
