When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

約瑟命家宰曰、以糧充諸人之囊、依其所能負、亦以各人之銀、反各人之囊中、

乃就約瑟家宰於門側、告之曰、

以撒為之設筵、相與飲食、

宰牲調酒、肆筵設席、

雅各在山獻祭、招諸兄弟宴會、宴後宿於山、

我餅我水、及我為翦羊毛者所宰之肉、豈可予我不知奚自之人乎、

故約瑟蒙恩於主人前、使之事己、立為家宰、凡所有者歸其掌握、自立約瑟為家宰、治其全業、主為約瑟故、降福於伊及人之家、凡在室在田所有者、皆蒙主賜福、

亞伯拉罕謂治理全業者、其家之老僕或作謂其家宰即理其全業之僕曰、爾當置手於我髀下、我令爾指主宰天地之耶和華天主而誓、我居迦南人中、爾毋為我子娶其女為妻、必往我故土本族、為我子以撒娶妻、僕曰、倘女不欲從我來斯地、我攜爾子返爾所出之地、可乎、亞伯拉罕曰、慎毋攜我子返故土、主宰上天之耶和華天主、導我出父家、離宗族之地、應許我、且誓曰、我必以此地賜爾後裔者、必將遣其使者導爾、使爾為我子娶妻於故土、倘女不欲從爾、則此誓與爾無與、惟不可攜我子返故土、僕遂置手於亞伯拉罕髀下、為此事而誓之、於是僕由其主人之駝中取十駝、又於主人之家內攜各品財帛、起而往兩河間亞蘭、乃至拿鶴所居之邑、

亞伯蘭曰、主天主歟、何以賜我、蓋我無子、惟大瑪色人以利亞薩將為我嗣、將為我嗣或作為我家宰

離邑不遠、約瑟謂家宰曰、往追其人、及之、則曰、何以惡報善乎、

子漸長、遂斷乳、以撒斷乳之時、亞伯拉罕設盛筵、
