因为我们得救在于这盼望。然而，看得见的盼望，就不是盼望了；谁会盼望自己所看得见的呢？

耶和华啊，求你垂听我的祷告，倾听我的呼求！我流泪时，求你不要沉默！因为我在你面前是寄居的，是客旅，像我所有的祖先那样。

“我在你们中间是寄居者，是客旅；请把你们中间的一块地产给我作坟地，好让我把死者从我身旁移去安葬。”

这些人虽然都藉着信受到了赞许，还是没有领受到所应许的，

因着信，他不怕王的愤怒，离开了埃及，因为他恒心忍耐，如同看见了不可见的那一位。

雅各回答法老：“我在世寄居的年日有一百三十年了；我一生的年日又少又苦，不及我祖先在世寄居的年日。”

由此可见，你们不再是外人，或寄居的；你们是圣徒的同国之民，是神家里的人，

亚伯拉罕年迈高龄，尽享天年，气绝而死，归到他的先人那里。

耶和华啊，我向来等候你的救恩！

我确实地告诉你们：曾经有许多先知和义人渴望看你们所看见的，却没有看到；渴望听你们所听见的，却没有听到。

关于这救恩，那些预言你们要得着这恩典的先知，曾经寻求过，详细查考过。他们查考了自己里面基督之灵，当他预言有关基督的苦难和此后的荣耀时，究竟指明的是什么时候、或什么样的情况。他们蒙了启示，知道所服事的这一切，不是为自己，而是为你们。如今，这些事藉着从天上派来的圣灵，通过那些向你们传福音的人，传讲给了你们；对于这些事，天使们也渴望能详细察看。

并且确信不疑：神所应许的，神也能成就。

他说：“看哪，我已经老了，不知道哪一天会死。现在拿上你的猎具，箭囊和弓，到田野去为我打些野味。你要照我所喜爱的，为我做成美食，拿来给我吃，好让我在死之前祝福你。”

各位蒙爱的人哪，我劝你们：做为过客和寄居的，要远避那与你们灵魂争战的肉体欲望。

你们既然称不偏待人、只按每个人的行为施行审判的那一位为父，就应当怀着敬畏的心，过你们寄居的日子，

约瑟对他的兄弟们说：“我就要死了，但神必定眷顾你们，还要把你们从这地带上去，到他起誓要给亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的地去。”

我在地上是寄居者，求你不要向我隐藏你的诫命。

以色列对约瑟说：“看哪，我就要死了！但神必与你们同在，把你们带回到你们祖先之地。

雅各嘱咐完了儿子们，就把脚收到床榻上，然后断了气，归到他的先人那里了。

以赛亚说了这些话，是因为看见了耶稣的荣耀，就讲论他的事。

权杖必不离开犹大，王杖必不离他两脚之间，直到“细罗”来到，万民都要归顺他。

以上就是以色列的十二支派；这是他们的父亲对他们所说的话。他祝福他们，是按着各人的福份祝福他们。
