保罗知道有一部分人是撒都该人，另一部分是法利赛人，就在议会中喊着：“各位兄弟，我是法利赛人，也是法利赛人的儿子。我现在受审，是与死人复活的盼望有关。”

彼得伸手扶她站起来，又叫圣徒们和寡妇们进来，把活过来的多卡丝交给他们。

当人从死人中复活以后，他们既不娶也不嫁，而是像诸天之上的天使一样。

事实上，他们再也不会死，因为就与天使一样；他们既然是复活的儿女，就是神的儿女了。

千夫长下令把保罗押进营楼，吩咐鞭打拷问他，要了解民众是因什么理由向他这样一直喊叫。当士兵们用皮条捆上保罗的时候，他对站在旁边的百夫长说：“你们鞭打一个没有被定罪的罗马公民，可以吗？”
