By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death:“ He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch had faith. So he was taken from this life. He didn’t die.“ He couldn’t be found, because God had taken him away.”( Genesis 5:24) Before God took him, Enoch was praised as one who pleased God.

何人生而不死、自拯其魂、脫於陰府之勢乎、

亞當七世孫以諾、預言斯人云、主偕其萬聖而來、

且自諸民諸族諸方諸邦、觀其屍者、三日有半、不許葬之於墓、宅地之人、為之欣喜歡忭、互相餽贈、蓋此二先知、曾苦宅地之人也、越三日有半、生氣出自上帝者入之、遂起立、觀者大懼、證者聞大聲自天語之曰、升於此、彼遂乘雲升天、其敵亦觀之、

其上為瑪土撒拉、其上為以諾、其上為雅列、其上為瑪勒列、其上為該南、

我儕以信而知諸世界乃由上帝之言而造、致所見者、非由可見者而成也、亞伯以信而獻祭於上帝、較該隱尤善、由是得證為義、即上帝因其禮而證之、且由此信雖死猶言、

從形軀者、不能取悅乎上帝、設上帝之神居爾衷、則爾不從形軀、而從神矣、不有基督之神者、非其徒也、

惟上帝既鑒我、福音是託、遂如是而言、非若悅人、乃悅鑒我心之上帝也、
