By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a place he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going.

亞伯拉罕有信、蒙主命、往將獲以為業之地、即遵命而出、臨出之時、尚不知所往、

亞伯漢亦憑信德、心從天主之命、不惜離鄉背井、以覓承許為嗣業之地。方其就道、固茫然不知己之奚適也。

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

Abraham had faith. So he obeyed God. God called him to go to a place he would later receive as his own. So he went. He did it even though he didn’t know where he was going.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he was going.

The Lord said to Abram: Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was 75 years old when he left Haran.

“ Brothers and fathers,” he said,“ listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he settled in Haran,and said to him: Get out of your country and away from your relatives, and come to the land that I will show you.“ Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. From there, after his father died, God had him move to this land you now live in.

By obedience to the truth, having purified yourselves for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ I will give this land to your offspring.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.

But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.

the covenant He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,and confirmed to Jacob as a decree and to Israel as an everlasting covenant:“ I will give the land of Canaan to you as your inherited portion.”

And all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring because you have obeyed My command.”

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can his faith save him?If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily foodand one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?

For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

for I will give you and your offspring forever all the land that you see.I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.Get up and walk around the land, through its length and width, for I will give it to you.”

He also said to him,“ I am Yahweh who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess.”But he said,“ Lord God, how can I know that I will possess it?”

who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,

You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the Lord your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to keep the promise He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain. When I called him, he was only one; I blessed him and made him many.

But I took your father Abraham from the region beyond the Euphrates River, led him throughout the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants. I gave him Isaac,

We have received grace and apostleship through Him to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations, on behalf of His name,

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot( Haran’s son), and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and they set out together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan. But when they came to Haran, they settled there.

And to you and your future offspring I will give the land where you are residing— all the land of Canaan— as an eternal possession, and I will be their God.”

Who has stirred him up from the east? He calls righteousness to his feet. The Lord hands nations over to him, and he subdues kings. He makes them like dust with his sword, like wind-driven stubble with his bow.

But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were transferred to,

He took him outside and said,“ Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then He said to him,“ Your offspring will be that numerous.”

stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.

You are Yahweh, the God who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans, and changed his name to Abraham.You found his heart faithful in Your sight, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites— to give it to his descendants. You have kept Your promise, for You are righteous.

“ For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.

In the same way, wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, even if some disobey the Christian message, they may be won over without a message by the way their wives live

After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,
