夫天主訓爾如子、爾豈已忘之乎？其言曰：『吾兒莫輕鍛鍊恩、受主懲責毋灰心；正惟主認爾為子、鞭笞備加爾之身。』

基督為吾人自舍其身、正欲拯贖吾人、脫免一切罪惡、加以洗滌、俾得充其子民、發憤為善云耳。

蓋召爾者聖、爾亦宜修身砥行、克肖其聖。經云：『爾其克念作聖、如予之聖；』此之謂也。

今則藉基督之死、托基督之身、而得與之融融洩洩、重相契合矣。基督且欲使爾等純潔無疵、無可指摘、而獻之於天主之前；

爾等亦當勉成具有生命之小石、俾充建造聖殿之材料、而作神聖之司鐸；仰賴耶穌基督、奉獻精神上之祭祀以望天主之悅納、
