For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

那时，听见他话惹他发怒的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？

听见他而又背叛他的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？

听见他而又背叛他的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？

听见祂的声音却又悖逆祂的是谁呢？不就是摩西从埃及领出来的那些人吗？

那时，听了他的话而惹他发怒的是谁呢？不就是摩西从埃及领出来的那些人吗？

到底是谁听见却悖逆了呢？难道不是被摩西从埃及带领出来的那一切人吗？

那時，聽見他話惹他發怒的是誰呢？豈不是跟着摩西從埃及出來的眾人嗎？

聽見他而又背叛他的是誰呢？豈不是跟着摩西從埃及出來的眾人嗎？

聽見他而又背叛他的是誰呢？豈不是跟着摩西從埃及出來的眾人嗎？

聽見祂的聲音卻又悖逆祂的是誰呢？不就是摩西從埃及領出來的那些人嗎？

那時，聽了他的話而惹他發怒的是誰呢？不就是摩西從埃及領出來的那些人嗎？

當時聽而惹他發怒的是誰呢？豈不是那些由摩西領導出埃及的眾人麼？

到底是誰聽見卻悖逆了呢？難道不是被摩西從埃及帶領出來的那一切人嗎？

其聞而激怒者誰耶、非從摩西出埃及之眾乎、

聽而抵觸者誰、非從摩西出埃及之眾乎、

其時聞而激怒者誰、非從摩西出伊及之眾乎、

夫當日聆天主之音、而忤天主之神者、誰耶？非隨摩西出埃及之眾人乎？

Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?

Who were those who heard and refused to obey? Weren’t they all the people Moses led out of Egypt?

For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses?

And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt?

For who heard and rebelled? Wasn’t it all who came out of Egypt under Moses?

For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?

For who, when they heard, did provoke? nay, did not all they that came out of Egypt by Moses?

For who heard and rebelled? Wasn’t it really all who came out of Egypt under Moses?

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

For which ones heard and rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under Moses’ leadership?

For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the entire congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or even if we had died in this wilderness!

Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, shall himself enter there; encourage him, for he will give it to Israel as an inheritance.

By no means will you come into the land where I swore to settle you, except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

But as for My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.

For the Lord had said of them,“ They shall certainly die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To rebel against the Most High in the desert.

So they said to one another,“ Let’s appoint a leader and return to Egypt!”

But what is the divine response to him?“ I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice.

Where your fathers put Me to the test, And saw My works for forty years.Therefore I was angry with this generation, And said,‘ They always go astray in their heart, And they did not know My ways’;

‘ Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land which I swore to give your fathers,except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him I will give the land on which he has set foot, and to his sons, because he has followed the Lord fully.’

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive out of those men who went to spy out the land.

I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh barnea to spy out the land, and I brought word back to him as it was in my heart.Nevertheless my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt with fear; but I followed the Lord my God fully.So Moses swore on that day, saying,‘ The land on which your foot has walked shall certainly be an inheritance to you and to your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God fully.’And now behold, the Lord has let me live, just as He spoke, these forty five years, from the time that the Lord spoke this word to Moses, when Israel walked in the wilderness; and now behold, I am eighty five years old today.I am still as strong today as I was on the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in.
