主將使人聞其威聲、赫赫震怒、以猛火之烈焰、與暴風急雨大雹、顯其臂之能力、亞述必因主之雷聲喪膽、主必以杖加之譴責、主命定以杖責亞述、每一加責、民必擊鼓彈琴、主攻擊亞述、勢甚嚴厲、蓋陀斐特自昔已設、亦為王而備、既深且廣、燒場有火、薪柴甚多、主之氣如川流之硫磺燃焉、

當是日至挪伯暫止、向郇邑之山、耶路撒冷之岡舉手、以指將攻、大主宰萬有之主、赫赫施威、折其巨枝、雄幹見伐、使高者降為卑、以鐵斬其稠密之林木、利巴嫩之樹、為力大者所伐、

因此主萬有之天主如是云、居郇之我民、毋懼亞述、今彼以梃擊爾、舉杖加撲責於爾、與昔伊及無異、復越片時、我向爾息忿、我向彼震怒、使之滅亡、萬有之主必舉鞭責之、如昔在俄立磐、責米甸人、如昔向海伸杖、如昔舉杖責伊及人、當是時其擔必離爾肩、其軛必離爾頸、頸肥軛折、

主已折惡人之梃、暴居之杖、

亞述將遭殞滅、非以人之刀、將被殺戮、非以人之劍、必因此刀劍遁逃、彼之丁壯、俱必消亡、俱必消亡或作必服他邦而納貢彼因恐懼、雖可匿之磐巖、亦必越過、或作彼之力必因恐懼而歸於無有彼之將帥、必因旗纛而驚怯、此乃在郇有火場、在耶路撒冷有火爐之主所言、

主曰、迨我在郇山、在耶路撒冷畢我之事、則必懲罰亞述王心之驕傲、及其目之仰視、

爾與一切軍旅及從爾之民族、將亡於以色列山岡、使爾為各類鷙鳥、及野獸所食、

噫、諸國號呼、如海洋震盪、列邦諠譁、如大水澎湃、列邦諠譁、雖如大水澎湃、惟主叱喝、則皆遠遁、必如在山之秕糠、風揚而去、亦如草芥、草芥或作塵土隨風旋轉、暮時忽遭惶恐、忽遭惶恐或作忽遭毀滅未及清晨、已歸烏有、此即擄我者所得之分、分或作報刼我者所獲之報、報或作罪
