Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.

主歟、民遭患難、則仰念主、主加之懲罰、則傾心以祈求主、

Lord, they came to you in their distress; when you disciplined them, they could barely whisper a prayer.

Lord, when your people were suffering, they came to you. When you punished them, they could barely whisper a prayer.

O Lord, in distress they sought you; they poured out a whispered prayer when your discipline was upon them.

Lord, in distress we searched for you. We prayed beneath the burden of your discipline.

LORD, they went to you in their distress; they poured out whispered prayers because your discipline fell on them.

Lord, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your discipline was upon them.

Inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied you will be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God and listen to his voice.

These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to God’s house, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.

They said to him,“ Hezekiah says,‘ Today is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the birth, and there is no strength to give birth.

yet if they come to their senses in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of their captivity, saying,‘ We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have dealt wickedly;’if they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have carried them captive, and pray toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, and the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name;

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
