Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it:

耶和華上帝創造諸天、而展布之、鋪張大地、及其土產、以生氣賦億兆、以神性畀行於地上之人、

昔耶和華上帝、創造穹蒼、使之張舒、奠定寰宇、使之生植、賦億兆以吹噓之氣、畀生民以活潑之神、今告厥僕曰、

主天主造諸天而張之、闢地及造其上之萬物、以生氣賦地上之生民、以靈性畀凡行於地者、今如是云、

This is what God the Lord says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:

God created the heavens and stretches them out. The Lord spreads out the earth with everything that grows on it. He gives breath to its people. He gives life to those who walk on it. He says to his servant,

This is what the true God, the LORD, says– the one who created the sky and stretched it out, the one who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the one who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it:

God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it, says:

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

I have made the earth, And created man on it. I— My hands— stretched out the heavens, And all their host I have commanded.

The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him:

Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together.

He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.

In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great.There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there.These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season.What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works.He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.May sinners be consumed from the earth, And the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord!

The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

‘ Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited:“ I am the Lord, and there is no other.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?

To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever;

Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.Then God said,“ Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will change them, And they will be changed.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb:“ I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

He who builds His layers in the sky, And has founded His strata in the earth; Who calls for the waters of the sea, And pours them out on the face of the earth— The Lord is His name.

has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

And:“ You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment;Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.”

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance?

And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Then God said,“ Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils,

If He should set His heart on it, If He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,
