I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;

“惟有我，是安慰你们的。你是谁？竟怕那必死的人，怕那要变如草的世人，

耶和华说：“安慰你们的是我，是我。你为什么要害怕难逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

“我，我耶和华是安慰你们的；你是谁，竟怕那会死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？

“我，是我安慰你们；你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被弃如草芥的世人；

惟有我，是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人？怕那要變如草的世人？

我，惟有我是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，

我，惟有我是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，

耶和華說：「安慰你們的是我，是我。你為什麼要害怕難逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

“我，我耶和華是安慰你們的；你是誰，竟怕那會死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？

『是我，我親自安慰你們的；你怎麼啦，你竟怕那會死的人，怕那生成如草的世人呀！

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；

主曰、慰藉爾者我也、爾何人斯、乃畏必死之世人、懼如草之人子、

耶和華曰、我慰藉爾、斯世之人、俱將淪亡、儗於草萊、何為畏之。

主曰、慰藉爾者惟我、惟我、爾為誰、竟懼必死之人、畏彼似草萊之世人、世人或作亞當之子

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,

The Lord says to his people,“ I comfort you because of who I am. Why are you afraid of mere human beings? They are like grass that dries up.

“ I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,

“ I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?

I— I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

“ I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

“ I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?

I— I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

I,[ even] I,[ am] he that comforteth you: who[ art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man[ that] shall die, and of the son of man[ which] shall be made[ as] grass;

“ I, I am the one who consoles you. Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass?

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?

Jehovah is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?

For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth:

I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.

But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.

For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; he hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

and the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.For the sun ariseth with the scorching wind, and withereth the grass; and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his goings.

For even when we were come into Macedonia our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.

As for man, his days are as grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; And the place thereof shall know it no more.

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will warn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Many seek the ruler’s favor; But a man’s judgment cometh from Jehovah.

Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye dismayed at their revilings.For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation unto all generations.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls that I have made.For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him; I hid my face and was wroth; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed- nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer thee in this matter.If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of thy hand, O king.But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

The voice of one saying, Cry. And one said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field.The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, because the breath of Jehovah bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass.

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

So the church throughout all Judæa and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified; and, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, was multiplied.
