从前你们好像是迷路的羊，现在却归向了你们灵魂的牧人和监护者。

因为基督也曾一次为罪受苦，以无罪之身代替不义之人，为要领你们到上帝面前。祂的肉体虽被处死，但祂借着圣灵复活了。

我像只迷途的羊，求你来寻找仆人，因为我没有忘记你的命令。

耶稣受害而死是为了我们的过犯，祂复活是为了使我们成为义人。

正如圣经上说：“没有义人，一个也没有，没有人明白，没有人寻求上帝。人人偏离正路，变得毫无价值。没有人行善，一个也没有。他们的喉咙是敞开的坟墓，舌头上尽是诡诈，嘴唇有蛇的毒液，满口咒诅，言语恶毒；杀人流血，脚步飞快；所到之处，大肆毁灭；平安之路，他们未曾知道；他们眼中毫无对上帝的畏惧。”我们知道律法所讲的都是针对律法之下的人，好叫所有的人都无话可说，使全世界都伏在上帝的审判之下。

他该知道：使一个迷途中的罪人归回正路就是救一个灵魂脱离死亡，并且会遮盖许多罪。

这些人就像贪吃的狗，不知饱足，又像什么都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。

耶稣给他们讲了一个比喻：“如果你们有人有一百只羊，走失了一只，难道他不暂时把那九十九只留在草场上，去找那只迷失的羊，一直到找着为止吗？他找到后，会欢欢喜喜地把那只羊扛回家，并邀来朋友邻居，说，‘我走失的羊找到了，来和我一同庆祝吧！’我告诉你们，同样，一个罪人悔改，在天上也要这样为他欢喜，甚至比有九十九个不用悔改的义人还欢喜。

愿邪恶的人停止作恶，不义的人除掉恶念。愿他们归向耶和华，祂必怜悯他们；愿他们归向我们的上帝，祂必仁慈地赦免他们。

然而，祂被压伤、受痛苦是耶和华的旨意；祂的性命作了赎罪祭。祂必看见自己的后裔，祂必长久活着。耶和华的旨意必在祂手中实现。

如果一个人有一百只羊，其中有一只走迷了路，他会怎么办呢？难道不会把那九十九只撇在山上，去找那只迷失的羊吗？我实在告诉你们，如果找到了，他会非常欢喜，甚至比有那九十九只没有迷失的羊还欢喜。同样，你们的天父也不愿任何一个卑微的人失丧。

无故恨我的人不计其数，无故害我的仇敌势力强大，逼我偿还我没有偷过的东西。

当我说某个恶人必灭亡时，如果你不告诫他，劝告他痛改前非，挽救他的性命，他必死在自己的罪中，而我要追究你的责任。
