Then I said: Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Armies.

那时我说：“祸哉！我灭亡了！因为我是嘴唇不洁的人，住在嘴唇不洁的民中，又因我亲眼看见大君王—万军之耶和华。”

那时我说：“我有祸了！我要灭亡了！因为我口出不洁之言，又住在口出不洁之言的人群中，并且亲眼看见了大君王——万军之耶和华。”

那时我说：“我有祸了，我灭亡了！因为我是个嘴唇不洁的人，又住在嘴唇不洁的人民中间，又因为我亲眼看见了大君王万军之耶和华。”

那时我说：“我有祸了，我要灭亡了！因为我是个嘴唇不洁净的人，住在嘴唇不洁净的民众当中；又因为我亲眼看见了大君王万军之耶和华。”

那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，又住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我眼見大君王－萬軍之耶和華。」

那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我親眼看見大君王－萬軍之耶和華。」

那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我親眼看見大君王－萬軍之耶和華。」

那時我說：「我有禍了！我要滅亡了！因為我口出不潔之言，又住在口出不潔之言的人群中，並且親眼看見了大君王——萬軍之耶和華。」

那時我說：“我有禍了，我滅亡了！因為我是個嘴唇不潔的人，又住在嘴唇不潔的人民中間，又因為我親眼看見了大君王萬軍之耶和華。”

我說：『我有禍啦！我完啦！因為我是個嘴脣不潔淨的人，又住在嘴脣不潔淨的人民中，因為我親眼看見了大君王、萬軍之永恆主。』

那時我說：「我有禍了，我要滅亡了！因為我是個嘴唇不潔淨的人，住在嘴唇不潔淨的民眾當中；又因為我親眼看見了大君王萬軍之耶和華。」

我曰、禍哉我也、亡矣、我乃脣穢之人、居於脣穢民中、而目睹大君、萬軍之耶和華也、

我曰、余與斯民、滿口穢濁、得覲大君、睹萬有之主耶和華、我命其尚可保乎、禍必不遠矣、

我曰、禍哉、我必亡矣、我乃唇穢之人、居於唇穢之民中、而我目睹大主宰萬有之主也、

“ Woe to me!” I cried.“ I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

“ How terrible it is for me!” I cried out.“ I’m about to be destroyed! My mouth speaks sinful words. And I live among people who speak sinful words. Now I have seen the King with my own eyes. He is the Lord who rules over all.”

And I said:“ Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

Then I said,“ It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Then I said,“ Woe to me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.”

So I said:“ Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

Then I said: Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.

Then said I, Woe[ is] me! for I am undone; because I[ am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

I said,“ Too bad for me! I am destroyed, for my lips are contaminated by sin, and I live among people whose lips are contaminated by sin. My eyes have seen the king, the LORD who commands armies.”

Then I said,“ Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’s knees and said,“ Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord!”For he and all those with him were amazed at the catch of fish they had taken,

But I protested,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! Look, I don’t know how to speak since I am only a youth.”

They bent their tongues like their bows; lies and not faithfulness prevail in the land, for they proceed from one evil to another, and they do not take me into account. This is the LORD’s declaration.Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don’t trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander.Each one betrays his friend; no one tells the truth. They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they wear themselves out doing wrong.You live in a world of deception. In their deception they refuse to know me. This is the LORD’s declaration.Therefore, this is what the LORD of Armies says: I am about to refine them and test them, for what else can I do because of my dear people?Their tongues are deadly arrows— they speak deception. With his mouth one speaks peaceably with his friend, but inwardly he sets up an ambush.

And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among our members. It stains the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.Every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and fish is tamed and has been tamed by humankind,but no one can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in God’s likeness.Blessing and cursing come out of the same mouth. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.

“ But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and do not be afraid of their words, even though briers and thorns are beside you and you live among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or discouraged by the look on their faces, for they are a rebellious house.Speak my words to them whether they listen or refuse to listen, for they are rebellious.“ And you, son of man, listen to what I tell you: Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.”

But Moses said in the LORD’s presence,“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am such a poor speaker?”

Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.A good person produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil person produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak.For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

But Moses replied in the LORD’s presence,“ Since I am such a poor speaker, how will Pharaoh listen to me?”

The Lord said: These people approach me with their speeches to honor me with lip-service, yet their hearts are far from me, and human rules direct their worship of me.

But Moses replied to the LORD,“ Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent— either in the past or recently or since you have been speaking to your servant— because my mouth and my tongue are sluggish.”

So my people come to you in crowds, sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Their mouths go on passionately, but their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment.For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is mature, able also to control the whole body.

He had seven stars in his right hand; a sharp double-edged sword came from his mouth, and his face was shining like the sun at full strength.When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me and said,“ Don’t be afraid. I am the First and the Last,

When Gideon realized that he was the angel of the LORD, he said,“ Oh no, Lord GOD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!”

I had heard reports about you, but now my eyes have seen you.Therefore, I reject my words and am sorry for them; I am dust and ashes.

But he added,“ You cannot see my face, for humans cannot see me and live.”

His body was like beryl, his face like the brilliance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and feet like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.Only I, Daniel, saw the vision. The men who were with me did not see it, but a great terror fell on them, and they ran and hid.I was left alone, looking at this great vision. No strength was left in me; my face grew deathly pale, and I was powerless.

Then he showed me the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan,“ The LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.So the angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before him,“ Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.”Then I said,“ Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So a clean turban was placed on his head, and they clothed him in garments while the angel of the LORD was standing nearby.Then the angel of the LORD charged Joshua,“ This is what the LORD of Armies says: If you walk in my ways and keep my mandates, you will both rule my house and take care of my courts; I will also grant you access among these who are standing here.

“ We’re certainly going to die,” he said to his wife,“ because we have seen God!”

Your eyes will see the King in his beauty; you will see a vast land.

I will make her princes and sages drunk, along with her governors, officials, and warriors. Then they will fall asleep forever and never wake up. This is the King’s declaration; the LORD of Armies is his name.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by his blood,and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father— to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. So it is to be. Amen.

I heard, and I trembled within; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered my bones; I trembled where I stood. Now I must quietly wait for the day of distress to come against the people invading us.
