爾之日不沒、爾之月不虧、蓋耶和華為爾永久之光、爾悲哀之日已終、爾之民俱為義人、承斯土以為恆業、我栽之、手造之、以彰我榮、

義人必暢茂如椶樹、生長如利巴嫩之香柏兮、植於耶和華室、盛於我上帝院兮、暮年猶結其實、汁滿而色青兮、以彰耶和華之正直、彼乃我之磐石、無有不義兮、

若為基督名見詬、則福矣、蓋上帝有榮之神止於爾、

蓋爾以值見購、故當以身榮上帝焉、

我曰、當以潔冠加於其首、遂以潔冠冠之、以衣衣之、耶和華之使者立於側、

又備酒醴以悅人心、膏油以澤人面、糗糧以固人志兮、

末底改衣朝服、厥色藍白、首冠大金冕、外衣赤枲袍、出自王前、書珊邑民、歡呼喜樂、

爾實孔繁、我父於此而榮、而爾乃為我徒也、

父語諸僕曰、速取至美之袍衣之、施環於其指、納履於其足、

末底改既知此事、自裂其衣、衣麻蒙灰、出至邑中、大聲痛哭、及御門而止、因衣麻者不可入也、詔至各州、猶大人悲甚、禁食、哭泣、哀號、衣麻臥於灰中者眾、
