初熟麥子的麵若是聖的，麵團也就聖了；樹根若是聖的，樹枝也就聖了。若有幾根枝子被折下來，你這野橄欖得以接在上頭，一同有分於橄欖樹之肥汁的根，你就別對那些枝子誇勝了。縱然誇勝，也不是你托着根，而是根托着你啊。你這就必說：『枝子被折下來，特地為要讓我接上啊。』不錯，他們猶太人因了不信的心才被折下；你因了信心才立得住。別存着高傲思想了，卻要有畏懼的心。上帝既不愛惜天生的枝子，也就不愛惜你。所以你要看上帝的慈惠連同嚴厲：向跌倒的人是嚴厲；向你呢、就有屬神的慈惠，如果你恆居於慈惠、的話；不然，你也會被砍下來。他們呢、若不恆居於「不信」之內，仍然會被接上；因為上帝能把他們接上。你從天生的野橄欖樹上被砍下來，尚且逆着性接在好橄欖樹上，何況這些天生的枝子、豈不更要接在原本的橄欖樹上麼？

願永恆主使你們加多，使你們和你們的子孫加多，

地上萬國都必用你後裔的名來給自己祝福，因為你聽了我的聲音。』

他們必不白白地勞碌，也不生孩子而突受驚恐；因為他們都是蒙永恆主祝福者的後裔，他們出的子孫也跟他們一道。

為我弟兄、我骨肉之親、我巴不得被革除、和基督隔絕呢！他們是以色列人，有被立為子的名分，有上帝之榮現，有諸約，有律法之制定，有事奉的聖禮，有諸應許：都是他們的；
