往於田、所見無非殺戮、入於邑、觸目盡是餓殍、先知祭司、往來貿易、不以為意。

勿詛士師、勿詈民長。

故我必使亞述王、率師襲之、若大河狂流、勢洶湧而逾岸、泛濫猶大國、幾將滅頂、左翼右翼之兵、遍於以馬內利四境。

四月九日、邑民糧罄饑甚。

爾敵環而攻爾、勢甚危迫、使爾食己所生之子女、即爾上帝耶和華所賜者。如是在爾中、最猗儺荏弱之人、必睚眦兄弟、及眷愛之妻室、留遺之子女、不以所食之嬰孩分給之、蓋敵攻邑門、見圍甚迫、物無從得故也。爾中猗儺纖弱之女、因其嬌嬈、以足踐地、猶且不屑、迨敵圍爾邑、迫切之甚、婦至缺乏、俱無所得、則私藏所出之胞衣、所生之嬰孩、以供所食、即其所愛之夫、所生之子女、亦被睚眦、毫不分給。

言時、使者至、王亦至、曰、斯災自耶和華而降、何必仰望耶和華哉。

爾之土產、爾之操作、將為爾素所未識之民並吞殆盡、爾將為人虐取、為人挾制、歷久如是。爾既見此、必致心狂。

人見暴甚、則謗讟秉權降災之上帝、不悔改以頌禱、其五天使傾鼎於獸位、其國晦冥、人痛甚而齩舌、以其瘍痛甚、謗讟天上上帝、不悔改所為、

其妻曰、爾猶不變所守乎、不如詛上帝而死可也。

爾若擊之、喪其貨財、必立詛爾。

四月九日、邑民糧罄饑甚。

若傷其肢體、彼必立詛爾。

哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、齦閉舌卷兮、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之兮。素飫肥甘者、今亡於逵衢兮、昔衣絳袍、為人提抱者、今偃於糞壤兮。

寧殞於鋒刃、不願死於饑饉、土產已絶、日漸衰微兮。維彼婦女、素懷矜恤、今民淪喪、烹子而食兮。

其餘未死於此災者、不改厥行、仍事諸鬼、拜不見、不聞、不行、金銀銅木石之偶像、殺人、巫術、淫行、寇攘、怙過不悛、
