Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

“ For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.And God said,“ Let there be light,” and there was light.And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

And God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.

He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship,to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment,like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”

And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Joseph answered Pharaoh,“ It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”

And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, for he is not a man, that he should have regret.”

For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

Daniel answered the king and said,“ No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked,but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream and the visions of your head as you lay in bed are these:To you, O king, as you lay in bed came thoughts of what would be after this, and he who reveals mysteries made known to you what is to be.But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

Therefore it says,“ When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”( In saying,“ He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth?He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,

God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

Grant to Solomon my son a whole heart that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, performing all, and that he may build the palace for which I have made provision.”

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,

And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone.

And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

And he answered them,“ To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

And Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are.

When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying,‘ My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

God answered Solomon,“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king,wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.”

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!“ May they be secure who love you!

“ Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whom the Lord has put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.”And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work.

At that time Jesus declared,“ I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children;yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

Then the Lord said to him,“ Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”

I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.

For he is rightly instructed; his God teaches him.

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,

This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
