Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him?If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.But someone may well say,“ You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

“ And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

“ Not everyone who says to Me,‘ Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.Many will say to Me on that day,‘ Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’And then I will declare to them,‘ I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell— and its collapse was great.”

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accordance with his will, will receive many blows,but the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.
