Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, because you know that we will be judged more strictly.

兄弟中多有好為人師者、是亦謬甚。應知為師者、責任最重。

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

My brothers and sisters, most of you shouldn’t become teachers. That’s because you know that those of us who teach will be held more accountable.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.

Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we will receive a stricter judgment.

Do not become teachers in large numbers, my brothers, since you know that we who are teachers will incur a stricter judgment.

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgment,

My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently.

That servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or do what his master asked will receive a severe beating.But the one who did not know his master’s will and did things worthy of punishment will receive a light beating. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required, and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be asked.

“ But woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.

But you are not to be called‘ Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.And call no one your‘ father’ on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.Nor are you to be called‘ teacher,’ for you have one teacher, the Christ.

And do not lord it over those entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock.

For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself.That is why many of you are weak and sick, and quite a few are dead.But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.

And God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, gifts of healing, helps, gifts of leadership, different kinds of tongues.

For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle– I am telling the truth; I am not lying– and a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

“ As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must warn them on my behalf.When I say to the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you must certainly die,’ and you do not warn the wicked about his behavior, the wicked man will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But if you warn the wicked man to change his behavior, and he refuses to change, he will die for his iniquity, but you have saved your own life.

It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work. Let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you.

Moses then said to Aaron,“ This is what the LORD spoke:‘ Among the ones close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will be honored.’” So Aaron kept silent.

For this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher.

So he called the manager in and said to him,‘ What is this I hear about you? Turn in the account of your administration, because you can no longer be my manager.’

an educator of the senseless, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the essential features of knowledge and of the truth–therefore you who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

“ A disciple is not greater than his teacher, nor a slave greater than his master.

Therefore I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of you all.For I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.

“ Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.So for me, it is a minor matter that I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not acquitted because of this. The one who judges me is the Lord.So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

“ Do not judge so that you will not be judged.For by the standard you judge you will be judged, and the measure you use will be the measure you receive.

“ Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.When I say to the wicked,“ You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked deed and wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

When the Pharisees saw this they said to his disciples,“ Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Now there were these prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen( a close friend of Herod the tetrarch from childhood) and Saul.

May the LORD cut off from the community of Jacob every last person who does this, as well as the person who presents improper offerings to the LORD who rules over all!

Jesus answered,“ Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you don’t understand these things?
