得聞敵言、則有勇力、可下攻營、遂攜僕普拉而往、至其營隅、近於行伍、

聽眾所言、後即遇敵、可強乃志。其田與其僕部喇遂下、至營之極處、近於行伍。

爾聞米甸人所言、後必有膽、下而攻營、基甸與僕普拉遂下、至營之邊、近於隊伍、

靠着赐我力量的那位，我凡事都能做。

基甸到了那里，听见一个人对同伴说：“我做了个梦，梦见一个大麦饼滚进我们的营中，把一个帐篷撞翻在地。”他的同伴说：“那不是别的，正是以色列人约阿施的儿子基甸的刀，上帝把米甸人和整个军营都交在他手中了。”基甸听了这梦和梦的解释，就俯伏敬拜上帝。他回到以色列人的营中，大声喊道：“起来吧，耶和华已经把米甸军营交在你们手中了。”

你们要使软弱的人强壮，使双腿无力的人站稳。要对胆怯的人说：“你们要刚强，不要惧怕。看啊，你们的上帝必来拯救你们，为你们复仇，施行报应。”

他们欢欢喜喜地守除酵节七天，因为耶和华使亚述王对他们心存善意，帮助他们重建以色列上帝的殿。

但祂说：“我的恩典足够你用，因为我的能力在人的软弱上更显得全备。”所以，我更喜欢夸耀自己的软弱，好让基督的能力荫庇我。因此，为了基督的缘故，我欣然面对软弱、凌辱、迫害、艰难和困苦，因为我软弱的时候也正是我刚强的时候。

约拿单说：“我们去他们那边，故意让他们发现。如果他们说，‘站住，等我们去你们那里！’我们就待在原地，不去他们那里。但如果他们说，‘你们来我们这里！’我们就去，因为那表示耶和华已经把他们交在我们手里了。”

扫罗的儿子约拿单去何利沙见大卫，鼓励大卫坚定地信靠上帝。

驻军对约拿单和拿兵器的人大喊：“上来，我们要教训教训你们。”约拿单就对拿兵器的人说：“跟着我爬上去，耶和华已经把他们交在以色列人手里了。”

如果我对哪个少女说‘请放下你的水罐，让我喝点水’，如果她说‘请喝，我也打水给你的骆驼喝’，愿那女子做你为自己的仆人以撒选定的妻子。这样，我可以知道你施恩给我的主人了。”

所以，上帝领他们绕道而行，走旷野的路，前往红海。以色列人离开埃及时都带着兵器。

最后，你们要靠着主和祂的大能大力做刚强的人，

祈求祂按照自己丰富的荣耀，借着祂的灵，以大能使你们内在的生命刚强起来，

因为他们想恐吓我们，以为我们会吓得手发软，无法完成工程。但上帝啊，求你使我的手有力量！
