起初上帝創造天地。

他獨自伸展了蒼天，踏行於海浪之丘；

是上帝坐在大地的圓穹之上，地上的居民就像蚱蜢；他搭開諸天如帷幕，鋪張天空如可住的帳棚。

是永恆主用他的能力造了大地，用他的智慧建立了世界，用他的聰明展開了諸天。他一發聲，空中便有多水之激動喧囂；他使雲霧從地儘邊上騰；他給霖雨造閃電，又從他府庫中吹出風來。人都等於畜類，毫無知識；銀匠都因其雕像而慚愧；因為他鑄的象都是虛假，裏面並無氣息。偶像簡直是虛無，是惹人嘲笑的傑作！到受察罰時、一定滅亡。那造雅各業分的、並不像這些；因為他是形成萬有的；以色列是他產業的族派；萬軍之永恆主耶和華是他的名。

創造諸天的、他乃是上帝；形成大地而造它的，他是堅立大地；他創造大地，不是空空虛虛；他形成大地，是要給人居住：這位創造天地的永恆主這麼說：『我乃是永恆主，再沒有別的神。

他建造了他的聖所如高天，像他奠定到永遠的大地。

永恆主以智慧奠定了地；以明哲建立了天；

『上帝奠定大地時、你在哪裏？你若領會明達，只管訴說。你一定知道；是誰定地的尺度，是誰把準繩拉於地上。地的基礎奠於何物之上？地的角石是誰安放的？那時晨星一同呼喊，眾神子都歡呼。

天上的天哪，你們要頌讚他！天上的水啊，你們要頌讚他！願這一切都頌讚永恆主的名！因為他一吩咐，就都被創造出來。

你披上亮光如衣裳；搭開諸天如幔子；

神託以下是永恆主的話論到以色列的：那展開諸天、奠定大地、形成人靈於人裏面的永恆主發神諭說：

萬物藉着他而被造；凡被造的、沒有一物在他以外而被造。

「哀，主永恆主啊，你看，是你用大能大力和伸出來的膀臂創造了天地；在你並沒有難成的事。

我的手奠定了大地，我的右手展鋪着諸天；我一呼喚它們，天地就一概站出來。

永恆主作王；他穿上威嚴；永恆主穿上能力：他以能力束腰；世界堅立，不能搖動。

要稱謝那用智巧造諸天的，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；要稱謝那鋪展大地於水上的，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；

因為是他把地奠定於海上，把地建立於江河之際。

諸天藉着永恆主的話語而被造，其萬象藉着他口中的氣而造成。

永恆主啊，你所造的何其多呀！它們都是你用智慧造成的；大地滿了你所造之物。

上帝說：『眾水之間要有穹蒼，將水和水分開。』上帝造了穹蒼，將穹蒼以下的水和穹蒼以上的水分開：就這樣成了。上帝稱穹蒼為天：有晚上有早晨，是第二日。上帝說：『天下的水要積聚在一處，讓旱地露出來。』就這樣成了。

以雅各之上帝為助力，專仰望永恆主他的上帝的，這人有福啊！永恆主造天、地、海、和其中的萬物；他守忠信到永遠；

那創造諸天，展開穹蒼，將地和地所出的都鋪開，賜氣息給地上萬族之民，又賜靈性給行於地上的人的上帝永恆主這麼說：

因為萬有、在天上的和在地上的、人能見的和不能見的、或是「眾王位」、或「眾主治」、或「眾執政的」、或「眾掌權的」、都是本着他而被創造的：萬有都藉着他，又是為要歸於他而被創造的。

他一發聲，空中便有多水之激動喧囂；他使雲霧從地儘邊上騰；他給霖雨造閃電，又從他府庫中吹出風來。

你的忠信傳到代代；你建立了地，地就存立。

上帝將北極搭於空間，將大地懸於太空；

誰升過天、又降下來呢？誰聚風於手心？誰包水在衣裳裏？誰立定了地的四極？他名叫甚麼？他的兒子名叫甚麼？你知道麼？

是我，我造了大地，又創造人在地上；是我，我親手展開諸天，又統管其萬彙。

永恆主這麼說：『在悅納的時候我應了你，在拯救的日子我濟助了你；我守護着你，使你向萬族之民做立約證，去把大地重立起來，使人承受荒涼的遺產以為業；

那從你母腹就形成了你，和贖回了你、的永恆主這麼說：『我永恆主是造了萬有的，是獨自展開諸天，沒有誰在旁協助而鋪展大地的，
