My tent is destroyed; all its ropes are snapped. My children are gone from me and are no more; no one is left now to pitch my tent or to set up my shelter.

Jerusalem is like a tent that has been destroyed. All its ropes have snapped. My people have gone away from me. Now no one is left to set up my tent. I have no one to set up my shelter.

My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; my children have gone from me, and they are not; there is no one to spread my tent again and to set up my curtains.

My home is gone, and no one is left to help me rebuild it. My children have been taken away, and I will never see them again.

惡訊頻傳，山河破碎，我的帳篷忽然倒塌，幔子頃刻破裂。

耶和華說：「在拉瑪有痛哭哀號的聲音，是拉結在為兒女哀痛，不肯接受安慰，因為他們都死了。」

要擴大你的帳篷，儘量拉寬帳篷的幔子，放長繩子，釘牢橛子。

注視我的眼睛將再也看不見我，你將尋找我，而我已不復存在。

敵人做了她的主人，興旺發達。因為她作惡多端，耶和華叫她飽受困苦，她的孩子被敵人擄去。

惡人覆滅不復存在，義人的家屹立不倒。

我把我的話傳給你，用我的手庇護你。我鋪展穹蒼，奠立大地的根基，對錫安說，『你是我的子民。』」

祂抬起右手張弓搭箭，宛若仇敵，殺戮一切悅人眼目的人，將祂的怒火撒向錫安城的帳篷。主像敵人一樣毀滅以色列，吞噬她的宮殿，夷平她的堡壘，使猶大人哀哭不止。祂摧毀自己的居所，如同摧毀花園；祂摧毀自己規定的聚會之處，使錫安的人民忘記安息日和節期。祂在烈怒中棄絕所有的君王和祭司。

你流亡期間所生的子女必在你耳邊說，『這地方太小了，再給我們一些地方住吧。』你會在心裡問，『我喪失了兒女、不再生育、流亡在外、漂流不定，誰給我生了這些兒女？誰把他們養大？我孤身一人，他們是從哪裡來的？』」主耶和華說：「我必向列國招手，向萬民豎立我的旗幟，他們必抱著你的兒子、背著你的女兒回來。
