猶大人與、爾之眾邑、各事一上帝、其數相等、所作之像安在、盍使彼並起、拯救爾曹。

猶大啊，你的神明多如你的城邑，你給可憎的巴力燒香的祭壇多如耶路撒冷的街道。

祂必說，『你們的神明在哪裡？庇護你們的磐石在哪裡？

「列國的流亡者啊，你們要聚集到這裡來。那些抬著木頭神像、向不能救人的神明禱告的人真愚昧！

你們去呼求自己選擇的神明吧！你們有難，讓他們救你們吧！」

巴比倫人造疏割·比訥神像，古他人造匿甲神像，哈馬人造亞示瑪神像，亞瓦人造匿哈和他珥他神像，西法瓦音人焚燒兒女向他們的神明亞得米勒和亞拿米勒獻祭。

他們把神像抬起來扛在肩上，找個地方把它安置好，它就在那裡呆立不動。人向它呼求，它不能回應，也不能救人脫離困境。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，碩果纍纍。可是，他結果越多，建造的祭壇就越多；土地出產越豐富，他就把神柱裝飾得越美麗。

以利沙對以色列王說：「我與你有什麼關係？你去問你父母的先知吧！」以色列王說：「不要這樣說，耶和華招聚我們三王，是要把我們交給摩押王！」

它們一同屈膝降服，不但救不了被擄的巴比倫人，自己也被擄去。
