You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the parents’ sins into the laps of their children after them. Great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord Almighty,

You show your love to thousands of people. But you cause the sins of parents to affect even their children. Great and powerful God, your name is the Lord Who Rules Over All.

You show steadfast love to thousands, but you repay the guilt of fathers to their children after them, O great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts,

You show unfailing love to thousands, but you also bring the consequences of one generation’s sin upon the next. You are the great and powerful God, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.One generation will praise Your works to another, And will declare Your mighty acts.On the glorious splendor of Your majesty And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.People will speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness.

I said,“ Please, Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps the covenant and faithfulness for those who love Him and keep His commandments:

And all the people replied,“ His blood shall be on us and on our children!”

A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

You are not to be terrified of them, because the Lord your God is in your midst, a great and awesome God.

Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that belonged to him; and they brought them up to the Valley of Achor.And Joshua said,“ Why have you brought disaster on us? Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who does not show partiality, nor take a bribe.

Are You not from time everlasting, Lord, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. You, Lord, have appointed them to deliver judgment; And You, O Rock, have destined them to punish.

And how can I make amends, so that you will bless the inheritance of the Lord?”Then the Gibeonites said to him,“ For us it is not a matter of silver or gold with Saul or his house, nor is it for us to put anyone to death in Israel.” Nevertheless David said,“ I will do for you whatever you say.”So they said to the king,“ The man who destroyed us and who planned to eliminate us so that we would not exist within any border of Israel—let seven men from his sons be given to us, and we will hang them before the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the Lord.” And the king said,“ I will give them.”But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the oath of the Lord which was between them, between David and Saul’s son Jonathan.So the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, Armoni and Mephibosheth whom she had borne to Saul, and the five sons of Merab the daughter of Saul, whom she had borne to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite.Then he handed them over to the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the mountain before the Lord, so that the seven of them fell together; and they were put to death in the first days of harvest at the beginning of barley harvest.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

‘ I have certainly seen yesterday the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons,’ declares the Lord,‘ and I will repay you on this property,’ declares the Lord. Now then, pick him up and throw him on the property, in accordance with the word of the Lord.”

But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
