爾嘗言斯邑之民、戮以鋒刃、因以饉饑、重以疫癘、為巴比倫王所取、惟我以色列族之上帝、昔我忿怒震烈、散民於列邦、今我必撫集之、使歸故土、安居無虞。

今主以色列之天主論斯邑如是云、爾曹言斯邑必因鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、付於巴比倫王手、

“ You are saying about this city,‘ By the sword, famine and plague it will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon’; but this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:

Here is what you people of Judah are saying about this city.“ By war, hunger and plague it will be handed over to the king of Babylon.” But here is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says.

“ Now therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say,‘ It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by pestilence’:

“ Now I want to say something more about this city. You have been saying,‘ It will fall to the king of Babylon through war, famine, and disease.’ But this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:

“ Now therefore, this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to this city about which you said,‘ It has been handed over to Babylon’s king through sword, famine, and plague’:

“ Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning this city of which you say,‘ It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

And now therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:

“ Now therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to this city about which you said,‘ It has been handed over to Babylon’s king through sword, famine, and plague’:

And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

“ You and your people are right in saying,‘ War, starvation, and disease are sure to make this city fall into the hands of the king of Babylon.’ But now I, the LORD God of Israel, have something further to say about this city:

Now therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning this city, about which you say,“ It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:”

Behold, the assault ramps have reached the city to take it; and the city has been handed over to the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, the famine, and the plague; and what You have spoken has come to pass; and behold, You see it.

because Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying,“ Why do you prophesy, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will take it;

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to hand this city over to the Chaldeans and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.

Among them we too all previously lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest.But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ( by grace you have been saved),

Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your wrongdoings and your abominations.I am not doing this for your sake,” declares the Lord God;“ let that be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated for your ways, house of Israel!”

“ Therefore, behold, I am going to persuade her, Bring her into the wilderness, And speak kindly to her.

You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, each one of you is following the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.So I will hurl you off this land to the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, because I will show you no compassion.’“ Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when it will no longer be said,‘ As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’but,‘ As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had banished them.’ For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.

The Law came in so that the offense would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,

You have not bought Me sweet cane with money, Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; Rather, you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your wrongdoings.“ I, I alone, am the one who wipes out your wrongdoings for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.

Because of the wrongful act of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him; I hid My face and was angry, And he went on turning away, in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and to his mourners,
