Disaster follows disaster; the whole land lies in ruins. In an instant my tents are destroyed, my shelter in a moment.

One trouble follows another. The whole land is destroyed. In an instant my tents are gone. My home disappears in a moment.

Fear and the pit are come upon us, devastation and destruction.

Let them be put to shame that persecute me, but let not me be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed; bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

Wail ye; for the day of Jehovah is at hand; as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

And blessed be his glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.

Woe is me because of my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is my grief, and I must bear it.My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth from me, and they are not: there is none to spread my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

but these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come upon thee, in the multitude of thy sorceries, and the great abundance of thine enchantments.

then will I also walk contrary unto you; and I will smite you, even I, seven times for your sins.

Alas for the day! for the day of Jehovah is at hand, and as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.

Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
